cold face
I have systemic sclerosis, Raynaud’s, and fibromyalgia (plus other stuff). I also have stiffness and aching on the right side of my face neck and shoulder which I think is myofascial pain syndrome. However, those areas also feel very cold as though I am sitting in a draught . It can last for several

Glaucoma suspect
I had my annual eye test yesterday and my pressures were 26 in both eyes, which was a big shock as a year ago they were 23. I was very nervous, which could have made them worse, but this is such a massive jump. Also, the nerve in one eye was a bit thin at the end, though she said that this eye looked

On a positive note
Good morning my MS friends. Without the miserable recap, 2022 Sucked! Welcome 2023, some highlights. Annual MRI and Eye exam in December- no new activity or eye issues Took a shower without a bench on Christmas morning, felt like a big girl. Just starting no walking boot while indoors, amen hallelujah

OZURDEX® and Floater
Unfortuneately the Eyelea injections did not work (I will post a more detailed update another time) and so I was given an OZURDEX® injection. Whilst I thought the Eyles injections painful this was agony (I seem virtually immune to those useless numbing drops). Now things are settled I sometimes see a

Cataracts
I haven't written for a while, but thought I'd share my positive experience with my cataract treatment. I had an eye test back in the Spring 2022, where the optician noticed my cataracts where slowly worsening. Come last Autumn I noticed a rapid increase in the blurriness and fuzziness in my vision.

Herbal supplements for bronchiectasis
Would anyone have any knowledge or views on taking cardamom for lung health. I’m currently soaking 3 pods in warm water a day then squeezing out the seeds and drinking it as have heard this is an ancient herbal remedy to kill bacteria and help with inflammation. I also take echinacea daily but am wondering

Pegasys Dosage Waste
I am starting Pegasys next week to treat my polycythemia vera. HU was discussed, but not a great choice for me to start on. My dosage is 90mcg from a 180mcg vial, the remainder is thrown away. At approximately $1,000 a vial I will be flushing $500 down the drain a week! Truly disgusting. Do your specialty

Cetrotide injections - tips needed for drawing up the solution!
Hi all, I've had a bit of a wobble today (more like full on meltdown if I am being completely honest). It's my second day taking cetrotide and I am really struggling with drawing the meds up into the syringe after mixing. I've tried it so many different ways... slowly pushing out the air bubbles, holding

Recommendations for a good selenium supplement?
That's not expensive? Selenomethionine is the type I'm after. I currently take Viridian which is around £8/9 for 30 capsules. It doesn't last long as I take 2 capsules daily. Previously I used solgar but I didn't feel it was as effective. There's so many different supplement sellers on Amazon now
