High blood pressure after ablation
Should you have a higher blood pressure reading after cardiac ablation? Mine was lower prior to ablation

What is the realistic expectation for the young afibber?
EP and cardiologists, and basically everyone say that afib doesn't kill you. And if blood clot is prevented, it doesn't even shorten life. It's a bit of comforting. But what should I actually expect for the rest of my life provided I'm only 37 now. When afib becomes more frequent, ablation could be

Recovering from AV Node Ablation.
I had my AV Node Ablation on Thursday 1 Feb. It all went well and now I am back home. My CRT-D has been set to 80bpm and in 2 weeks time they will adjust it down to 60 bpm. I have been told to stop the Amiodarone and wean myself off the Bisoprolol and I imediatly decreased it from 7.5mg down to 5mg.

who has experience with cures for atrial fibrillation?
My Cardiologists have been considering treatment options including
catheter
ablation
, ICD implant and pacemaker implant. I would be interested in hearing about other people's experiences with these treatments.

HRT or not to HRT that is the question
After D&C and Mirena coil fitted then after a year of even heavier periods and excruciating pain, another op to remove the coil and an Endometrial ablation, that was nine months ago. I only get very slight bleeding, but I am in constant pain all around the abdomen, back and pelvis, I have never felt

Pacemaker with AV node ablation
We all know there is no cure for AF. We also know that if left untreated AF can lead to stroke. My journey over the last 25 years has been a long one, culminating in three ablations which certainly gave me relief for a while, and medication which now gives me more problems than they are worth. In

Pacemaker with AV node ablation
I have had 3 ablations, various meds used with no great success. This is as a result of a prosthetic mitral valve replacement some 20 years ago. The valve is still working well. It would appear that I am now looking at a pacemaker with av node ablation. I am hesitant, quite possibly because it is

I'm new - endometrial ablation seems to have failed
Hi all. I've been a member here for a while but not really posted. Feel like a newbie again. I'm 42. Had a novasure ablation last year in Jan. It the last three months I'm getting the worst pain ever which I suspect is when my period should have been. It's like being in labour. I can't walk. The whole

Cost of ablation for AF in the UK
My husband has AF and has been told
catheter
ablation
may help more than the drugs he's been taking for some years. We don't have private insurance but would like ablation done as quickly as possible. The price we were quoted seems very high compared to other private surgical procedures.

Six weeks after second ablation
I am on a medical trial which involves a Hybrid
ablation
with six months between the minimaze and
catheter
ablation
. I attended the hospital for my review today, six weeks after the second procedure.

Second Catheter Ablation
I had my second
Catheter
Ablation
five weeks ago. My first ablation was performed in January 2016, After 6 month's of missing pulse and chest flutters they decided to perform a 2nd Ablation on the 13th, September 2017 to stop me returning to full blown A-Fib.

CRT-D Benefits Realisation
As I approach my AV Node ablation I was wondering if those who have undergone the Pace and Ablate procedure can tell me how long it takes to feel any benefits. I know this is a very subjective thing, but I wondered if you felt it on day one or did it take a few months. My own suspicion is that most

Heart Failure and AF: Where Does Ablation Fit in?
Right now [
catheter
ablation
] for AF is recommended after failure of the drugs. My message to clinicians is to think about
catheter
ablation
earlier rather than later.

Post Ablation
Hi is there anyone out there that has had a cardiac ablation for AF. If so can you tell me how you were after your procedure and how long it took for you to feel well again. Also if you were on a beta blocker. I really need to chat to someone who has experienced post AF

Who have good and or bad AV Node ablations results? Please share...
Hi, I am trying to find out more about successful AV Node ablation. Not the other type ablations. or did you decide on Ameodrone instead. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Hybrid ablation. Mini-maze six months ago. Now its time for the catheter.
I am part of a clinical trial testing the effectiveness of a minimaze follwed by a
catheter
ablation
compared to repeated
catheter
ablations. The minimaze was completed in April to great effect, my heart settled down after two weeks and only one short periods of AF in May since then.
