12 weeks update after second catheter ablation
Well at last my very irritating cough is getting better. No AF, just some ectopic beats most evenings which are quite annoying but settle by themselves. I saw my EP a couple of weeks ago and he wants me to wean myself off the bisoprolol and come off the rivaroxiban which I am quite nervous about.

Positive thoughts about having an AV node ablation.
At the beginning of January I had an AV node ablation. I did a lot of research before making the decision to have the procedure, during which I read some very negative thoughts as to why you shouldn't have it done. I just wanted to share with you my experience, with a very positive view. I've had AFib

Update: Breathless after Catheter Ablation..Phrenic Nerve Injury????
Last year around Sep I joined this group desperately seeking answers as to why my Mum was suffering from extreme breathlessness following her 1st Ablation and then PM Implant the next day. Bob you were the first to respond to my plea. Your words of wisdom, knowledge and reassurance were so welcomed.

Low blood pressure
Good morning, I’m new on here. I take both Midodrine and Flecanide, long with a beta blocker. I have a pacemaker for a multitude of ablutions, had an AV node ablation but still have atrial flutter. Recently diagnosed and ? Heart failure but waiting on results. My blood pressure is always low, hence

Advice on Amiodarone please
I have had a successful
catheter
ablation
which lasted from June last year until a few weeks ago when I went into atrial flutter. I have just been started on Amiodarone, this is the third day of taking 200mg 3 times a day but my heart rate is still 147 is this normal?

Three months post final procedure in hybrid ablation
i had the mini-maze in April and completed with an RF
catheter
ablation
in early October. I did not have an official review three months after the second procedure as the Cardiologist did not think it was necessary after my six week review; he was very happy with my progress.

av node ablation
I had a Medtronic pacemaker put in three weeks ago and two days ago I had the av node ablated. It is early days, I feel tired and washed out, and a little overwhelmed by it all. I certainly do not feel like skipping about that is for sure, although I wish I did! So at the moment I don't really think

CRT-D Pacemaker Implantation Part 4
I’m writing this blog to help those who, like me, struggled with the whole concept of Pacemakers, CRT Pacemakers and ICD’s. My understanding of the role of the various pieces of kit are :- * A Pacemaker is used to help people with heart failure. It gives the heart a little help should it try to slope

PAT with an ICD and Sotolol
Hi, I had an ICD fitted 2 and a half weeks ago and was put on Sotolol (I’ve been on Bisoprolol and Flecainide for 5 years and they were no longer working). A week later I had a PAT episode that was manually terminated at the hospital using the ICD. At the same time my Sotolol dose was increased

What to expect after SVT ablation
Good Morning! I am new here but I underwent a cardiac ablation for an SVT on this past Friday the 27th. To give you some background, I was born with Congenitally Corrected Transposition of the Great Arteries. In other words my lower heart chamber is completely reversed. I also have situs inversus, a

What is the realistic expectation for the young afibber?
EP and cardiologists, and basically everyone say that afib doesn't kill you. And if blood clot is prevented, it doesn't even shorten life. It's a bit of comforting. But what should I actually expect for the rest of my life provided I'm only 37 now. When afib becomes more frequent, ablation could be
