Hi folks I feel pants. I have been feeling pants for many months/probably 2 years with all of the symptoms below and it is now being made worse by the after effects of Covid which I had a month ago. The questions I have are.... What else can I do or take to feel a bit better again? Has anyone else

Thyroid Hormone Transporters in a Human Placental Cell Model
There has long been the received wisdom that T3 does not cross the placenta. I am not aware this has been proved in any level of detail. This paper appears to make that look wrong. Indeed, it appears to identify specific pharmaceutical agents which directly and significantly affect T3 transport

Counteracting the negative effects of ADT on the CV system?
I’m 66. I started Orgovyx in Oct. of ‘21, then completed sbrt in Nov.. My MO wants me on adt for 2 yrs.. That’s fine as I’ve tolerated the physical effects pretty well. I exercise regularly (walking ever day, weights every other day). But, my bloodwork is coming back with high triglycerides & cholesterol

Latest Consensus on Omega-3, Aspirin & Curcumin?
So in finishing up my deep dive into supplements, these were the three I had the most trouble making any definitive personal conclusions about so I wanted to do a review before putting them to bed to get any last input. My general feeling is without well-designed long-term studies (not retrospective

Suspected Erythromelalgia - boiling red hands, began in early 2021. Urgent advice needed - feel very poorly
Hi I’m a 25 yo female from London, UK. I have hashimotos and hypothyroidism, both diagnosed and I am on treatment. I began to experience sudden hot and achy hands in early 2021 - characteristics were similar to that of erythromelalgia but GP reluctant to diagnose despite seeing photos - tested uric

What tests do I need to ask my GP for to rule out/diagnose PA?

Positive IFAB results just in.
Well, I got my intrinsic factor test back just now. It is positive! why am I happy about this? I guess I feel now that there is absolutely no question and that I have a definitive answer for what has plagued me most of my life. I actually feel relieved that I have pernicious anemia. How crazy is that

Getting ready for first laparoscopy
Hi all! I’m due to have a diagnostic laparoscopy on Monday to look for endometriosis. This’ll be my 4th operation under general anaesthetic, but my first not on my left knee 😅 Does anyone have any tips on what sort of food to have in the house for after the operation? I’ve got peppermint tea and peppermint

Ingrown Toenail due to Tagrisso - preventative care?
Hi Community: My father has been on Tagrisso for nearly a year now. And he's experienced dermatologic toxicity such as pimples and fissures on his finger tips. Lately though, he's had two ingrown toenails which he's never had before. He's going back to the podiatrist for tx. Seeking advice and suggestions

Returning to Gabapentin
After having an appointment with my GP I am about to go back to taking Gabapentin after suffering many side effects on Pregabalin. I switched to Pregabalin as the dose of Gabapentin (1200) I was taking had stopped working and rather than upping the dose, Pregabalin was easier to use as it didn’t need

INTRINSIC FACTOR ANTIBODY TEST . Has any member with P.A. had to have more than one IFAB test to get a positive reading ?
Is it a fact that the Intrinsic Factor antibodies come and go continually ? Or do they not appear when the patient has had P.A. untreated for a long period ,and the antibodies have “done their job “ and destroyed the parietal cells ?

we are looking at all our patients on B12 Injections; hence it is necessary that we check your current B12 levels and check for for Pernicious Aneamia which (is inability to absorb from your stomach)and So that we can continue to adminoster injections to those that have positive antibodies and advised
