My journey so far
Began with Lupron and
Casodex
. PSA declined to 78, but began rising again shortly. Tried degerilix briefly without success, then shifted to Zytiga for sever months. Progression slowed and PSA stabilized around 270.

My Intro...
Lupron and
Casodex
. Will likely go with the clinical trial. I have insurance, but they do not like to spend money, so may go with the clinical trial and see how it goes. the Lupron and
Casodex
would probably be recommended anyway. So this is a continuation of my PC journey.

Starting PSA was 5,006.4
PSA then went up into the 4.0 range, and then was held down slightly as
Casodex
was added, then stopped, as no longer effective. In most recent months PSA rose from 5.9 to 11.2 to 18.1. Next step is likely to be Xtandi.

Decided to do Proton radiation plus 6 months lupron and 30 days
casodex
. PSa dropped to <.05. Stayed at that level until March 2015, when it jumped to 2.5. Doctors decided to re-test in 6 months in that may have been post treat spike. Returned in Sept 2015 and PSa was at 28.

My Introduction
After another year my PSA began to rise again and I went on bicalutamide, a generic form of
casodex
. After about six months, my PSA was undetectable and has stayed that way for 3 years now. I was very depressed about my incontinence.

Low PSA with a Gleason 8 diagnosis
At the time of diagnosis he prescribed
Casodex
, an anti-androgen at triple the normal dose (150 mg/day), which I stayed on for two months, and resulted in significant shrinkage of my prostate.

Zytiga and Xtandi .... what do you think about this?
Because it was in his lymph node, he went with
Casodex
(30 days), Lupron (2 years) and radiation (40 external beam). In ‘2012 he did Taxotere when his PSA had a one month doubling rate. Planned to do 6 months, but was stopped at four months with heavy side effects. PSA held, but never slowed down.

Thank you all so much for your responses which have given me so much support. AF is a very scary place indeed. I would have like to reply to all individually but I'm not sure if that is the correct way to go about things, so I hope another post is acceptable. Warfarin was mentioned by my GP but he

I'm back, what a waste of time at the doctors and job centre!!!!!!!!
At the doctors, he would only give me nasal spray called NASONEX and told me to see how I go on with that. Also he said that because my 2 curves are visible, that my scoliosis is not classed as severe, sorry its the other way round. At the job centre they were nasty but I got the advisors name so I can
