Casodex discontinued due to recurrent shingles (58 outbreaks when 1 is more than enough! 4gramsValtrex daily now keeps it from recurring). No metastasis yet says 2 recent pelvic CT Scans and a 2009 fb bone&skull CT scan.

., and the MO tried Lupron and 2 weeks of Casodex, no response then 2 weeks of Xtandi, no response, then 2 weeks of Zytiga, no response and PSA doubling every few days. He was hospitalized several times for dehydration, sent to rehab. for 2 1/2 wks. and at the last time his PSA was over 3,000.

Started on Zoladex and Casodex in July, and oncologist added Zytiga in September. PSA dropped August .8, September .5, October .08, November .02, December .01. Did PSMA pet scan in October and aggressive oncologist advised disease is "Oligometastatic."

My dad, 89 years old, prostate ca since 1996, stage 4 , lymph nodes only, treated with radiation and casodex. Spread to scapula 2015. Treated with trelstar& radiation. 2018 spread to spine, ribs, femur & skull. Treated with Taxotere. 8/2018 started on Xtandi & his PSA is at 0.8. 1/2019.

It made me uneasy, since Abiraterone is a form of ADT, and the androgen receptor antagonists, such as Casodex & Enzalutamide can be viewed as forms of ADT. In fact, I was pulled up on it, as others also view these drugs as ADT elements. Anyway, here again, ADT is being used in its old sense.}

This time trelstar only; stopped casodex and dutasteride. Had sbrt to two bone nets. So I’m still castrate sensitive (T = 9.0) after 4 1/2 years of IADT and SRT to mets discovered on each holiday in 2015, 2017 and 2018. See profile for details.

Hi beautiful people, I've recently had progression to my liver after being stable on tamoxifen and xgeva. My tumours were in my spine, ribs and femurs originally. My spinal ones are currently dormant after radiotherapy and tamoxifen. I the had my primary breast tumour removed and we found it had mutated

My husbands PSA became resistant to Casodex/Lupron but he is currently responding to Enzalutamide/ Lupron. Does this mean he qualifies as hormone sensitive or as hormone resistant?

Was started on docetaxel/ casodex/ lupron. Had a disected carotid artery. Had to be treated with blood thinners for 3 mo. OD decided to change to zytiga and prednisone/ along w lupron. PSA have been running <0.02 for last 9mo. Trying to follow plant based diet.

On my first visit with my MO, he suggested Zytiga instead of Casodex. In light of this drastic change in psa in less than 2 months on Casodex, my question to you all is should I stay on Casodex or switch to Zytiga as my MO suggested?

Started on Casodex and Lupron 11/01/2018. Began Taxotere with Prednisone 11/21/2018. Began Docetaxel, Leuprolide, Prednisone on 11/28/2018. I have stacks of paper with results from testing and have only just begun my journey.

I was diagnosed with mbc after a 3cm tumor was found in chest - crushing my SVC which then led to stents required to fix that. That was found Jun 2017. Radiation destroyed the tumor as of Aug 2017 and I was put on Ibrance and Faslodex. White counts suffered so was reduced from 125 to 100 to 75mg Ibrance

His psa on November down to 9.56 On December'18 again zoladex+casodex On January his psa down to 7.81.

Hi friends! Wondering if anyone has supplemented their cancer care with IV VItamin C therapy. I work with an ND oncologist along with my regular one and she suggested it. If you have used or are using it, how often and at what dosage? Did you have any side effects? I'll let you know if I start.

I had 6 rounds of chemo and 10 days of radiation treatments and continuing to receive Lupron shots every 3 months, xcheva shot every month and taking casodex pills every day. I also had Hodgkin’s disease back in 1987. I beat that and plan on doing the same with prostate cancer.

Hi Friends! I had my first Faslodex shots 2 weeks ago. No immediate side effects (just slightly sore butt) but my WBC dropped from 4.4 to 3.5.....the very bottom of "normal". Wondering if others have this side effect and if your count kept dropping with successive shots. I'm due to get round #2 shots
