Casodex

Hello once again, my father started taking Casodex 50 mg daily on 08/01/2023 and got first injection of Zoladex 3,6 mg on 13/01/2023. His MO said that he can take Casodex for 1 month.

Hi everybody, I am after RRp in 2014, SBRT in 2017, now on Casodex 150 mg I had Casodex for 1 year and I reached nadir 0.02. My MO put me on vacation, but after 6 months PSA went up to 0.79 I started again Casodex 150 mg. Now after 1 year My PSA in stabile 0.04.

Seen my urologist today, he said my psa is creeping up and the Casodex may not doing its job. Psa went from 23 to 32 in 2 months. Wants to take me off the Casodex and start me on Orgovyx . I'm making an appointment to see my oncolgist. Would like to get some input on this.

Does Casodex impact the results from PSMA PET Scan ? My uncle who just got diagnosed gleason 9 was told by urologist to start casodex and then would do lupron shot in 1 month.

No one can afford Xtanti Casodex not quite as responsive as Xtanti but only $8 a month

They are starting him on Casodex and lupron shots. Can he actually do tripley therapy right away or have to wait to see how he does on casodex and lupon before switching to triplet therapy ?

I’ve seen two posts today in a couple of threads stating that they’re currently on NUBEQA, or will soon be as a monotherapy without first line ADT like casodex or Lupron. One gent says after 7 months he’s got testosterone levels of 700 with undetectable PSA and no progression on scans.

Is it okay to wait 1-2 weeks to start Casodex in order to get a 2nd opinion on treatment / hormone therapy recommendations ? My relative just found out he is Gleason 9 and urologist wants to start him right away on Casodex and then Lupron shot in 2 weeks.

Any benefit taking AM or PM? Says may cause drowziness but also says may cause trouble sleeping. Starting this Wed. First Lupron Nov 1

I was put on six months of Lupron starting with a month of Casodex. The Casodex brought my PSA down to 0.452. After three months the Lupron brought my PSA down to 0.286. Three months later today, my PSA has slightly increased to 0.321. My T has been <20 during the last 6 months while on Lupron.

with Casodex as next line of treatment. Any thoughts? Thank you!

how long is casodex normally taken before zoladex ?

The doc suggests starting with Casodex and then two sequential Lupron shots. Is there a better way to do ADT for that period? I'd like to get my testosterone back quickly at the end of the treatment period if possible. I know that Orgovyx would allow me to do that, but it's too pricey for me.

(Had 30 days Casodex and on Lupron)

Treatment so far: Casodex 150mg, reduced to Casodex 50mg (Sepetmebr 2016 - January 2019) Eligard + Casodex 50mg (January 2019 - March 2019); Eligard only (from March 2019 on) Radiation treatment in fall of 2021 - failed, PET CT in May 2022 showed numerous local and distant lymph node mets, inconclusive

so his psa rose after 2.5years of an ADT holiday and he took casodex for 4 weeks then had a 3 month zoladex implant , after 2 months he is undetectable again , we asked his oncologist what the protocol is for length of time on it this time and he said if he stayed undetectable that he could possibly

I have had SBRT (2007), Chemotherapy (2010/2011), ADT using Casodex/Lupron/Zytiga (2012-Current). Interested in joining trials that involve PARP inihibitors, immunotherapy, or other new/novel therapies. Can any of you suggest trials currently accepting candidates.

He has started treatment and has been on Casodex for a month and had his first zolodex injection two days ago.

Have done GREAT using Casodex 2 weeks then Lupron + Casodex (50 mg/day), usually 9-12 months. Numerous HT vacations. 3 times scans found a very few ext. lymph node hot spots. Each time did a 3-month Lupron shot + Casodex + SBRT one month after starting Lupron. OK, fast forward to now. PSA rising.
