Casodex

Does anyone have experience with Casodex? I'm especially interested in potential side effects; have read much of what's online and it certainly is daunting, at the least.

My PSA WAS off the charts three months ago, but has been brought down to 9 after three months of Casodex. My oncologist said that if my PSA was below 30, she'd hold off on the Lupron or equivalent.

Before starting the Casodex he had bone pain in a femur and was taking Ibuprofen sometimes but since starting the Casodex since the last 18 days he says the pain is much better and has not needed any medicine.

He has started adt with casodex and lupron. Soon to add zytiga. He also takes flomax. He’s tried twice now and was unable to urinate on his own. Help!!

After a week of Casodex (Bicalutamide) his PSA went down to 3100. He switched from Casodex to Darolutamide, which he started on 9/5/24 and also received his first Firmagon injection around the same time. At today's appointment (9/24/24), they switched from Firmagon to Lupron injections.

Started hormone therapy in June--two weeks on Casodex, one 30-day Eligard injection before switching to Orgovyx. PSA is down to .5 from 36. He has heart failure so MO is foregoing abiraterone/prednisone for now, since the PSA response has been good. Thanks for any advice.

I know nothing beyond the IHT, so need help to list what drugs I should try to get on and whether I keep taking lupron and casodex if I get other drugs.

maybe for an individual would it be worth trying to see if casodex tablets worked better for driving down PSA instead of the lupron injection????

Had radiation to the lymph nodes and was on Lupron and Casodex for 5 years. Went off treatment a year and three months ago. Cancer returned to one lung only - no Mets to bone or lymph nodes. Treatment now is Eligard and Nubeqa.

I have gone through chemo and radiation and of course started with Casodex, then 3mth Lupron shots, a 4 pills daily of Nubeqa...

I am on daily Casodex, has been for several years, and I am taking - Multivitamins, C-, D-, K- vitamins and magnesium daily. Should I stop this? Can you elaborate a bit on why you do not recommend taking vitamins? Thanks in advance!

Started on Zytiga last year but had to stop due to elevated liver enzymes, so I switched to Casodex about two months ago, but PSA numbers started to climb from 0.1 to almost 0.3 within about 3 months.

I have been on Casodex, Erleada, Nubeqa. Zytiga, Provenge, 8 rounds of Docetaxel and, now, Pluvicto. As is standard, after my third round of Pluvicto I had a PSMA PET scan. Finally, something seems to be working. I have numerous mets to my bones and lymph nodes.

I phoned my doctor to see if I should be on Zytiga or so to control my PSA ( I receive shot of Diphereline monthly and on Casodex daily) but he said it is still all right. I remember I read somewhere saying if PSA goes up to 0.2.., its time to do something.

Right now I've been back on Firmagon for about 6 weeks and Casodex for about 30 days. My testosterone levels have been consistently low and my PSA has been at 0.12 the last two months. Anyone has experience with hip pain like this?

Now I’m able to focus on my recent biochemical recurrence following three years of Casodex.

I followed that up with Casodex, Lupron, and radiation via Rapidarc. Jumping ahead a bit, I stayed on Lupron and Casodex (oh yeah, and Finisteride for a year or two), and that held me until 2018.

So this problem was here BEFORE starting with Oncologist on Sept 5th the two ADT drugs with both Eligard-injection and Casodex/Bicalutamide 21 days of 50mg pills. Both drugs list nausea as a side effect. Plus I had a big injection of Antibiotics before Sept 11th biopsy.
