Poorly husband post valve replacement and HAP - anyone with advice about recovery and care?
He was acutely unwell and required
cardioversion
for fast AF and is now home, but recovery is slow and he is extremely tired. If anyone has any words of encouragement I'd be so glad to hear them. With my kindest regards to all.

Pain after cardioversion
cardioversion
done last week still in rhythm but having problems with pain in lower chest and upper abdomen when walking. Calms down when I sit down. Went to A&E during the week and they could not find anything wrong. Advise me to attend my cardiologist appointment this week.

Permanent AF treatment with drugs
Hiya all, I have permanent AF I had a
cardioversion
op but it flipped back into AF after ten days. It is almost impossible to take blood and put a cannula in my arms and hands it can be done with a Doppler scanner but the operator needs patience and needs to listen to me.

Puzzling over upcoming AF ablation
I was in AF for 5 years initially without realising before it got picked up during a tonsilectomy and eventually restored to sinus by dc
cardioversion
. Since then i have had 5 more occurrences of AF, all of which needed to be shocked back into rhythm.

Ablation/cardioversion
While having the ablation I also had a
cardioversion
, had the slight burn marks to prove it and a vague recollection through the morphine haze of hearing the EP say something about it.

Cardioversion - missed dose of Apixaban
I know this issue pops up occasionally, but one of my friends was due to have a
cardioversion
this morning, but when asked the question, he told the doctor that he had missed one, possibly two doses of Apixiban during the previous 4 weeks so the procedure was cancelled.

I underwent
cardioversion
and was prescribed Metoprolol, this kept my heart rate around 55. I started taking Lisinipril in 2012 for slightly high blood pressure. The AFib occurred again in 2015 and I underwent another
cardioversion

Nothing for 2 years until now
Hi. I used to get paf. 2 cardioversions and one ablation and have been off all meds for 2 years and no signs of anything. Until recently. I don't think I have AF but have lots of ectopics and few premature beats associated with shortness of breath when they occur. I run 10k races, do boxing classes

Hi all. I'm new to the community.
G'day, I'm Todd (aka Toot) and found this group while searching for some more information on AF and corrective treatment. I had my first bout of AF around 6 years ago which resulted in an almost week long stay in hospital, have had numerous episodes since along with two cardioversions and previously

Acalabrutinib and side effects
After I see an electrophysiologist in early April, it is likely I will undergo a
cardioversion
to try to shock my heart back to normal rhythm. My obvious question is: can the Acalabrutinib be responsible?

Advice for a 32 year old who recently had his first experience of AF
I’ve had an echo and there is no structural problem with my heart and a couple of weeks ago I had a
cardioversion
. Since then my heart rate has been stable in the low 50’s and I’m on flecanide to maintain rhythm.
