Cardioversion

I had PAF SINCE 2105 with 2 huge attacks that needed emergency cardioversion and then PAF was kept at bay with different medications.

I have af and have had cardioversion but after 4 attempts last time it didn't work. Have had pacemaker for 2 years and now have been advised to have av node ablation but I am very elderly and scared.

So called the day unit where I had the cardioversion and they said I need to speak to the nurse who looked after me who is not in until next week! I am finding it hard and stressful to get answers.

6 weeks after a succesful cardioversion for persistent Afib , I am still tired and physical exercise makes me breathless. I have been monitoring my blood pressure and heart rate with a blood pressure machine and have not had irregular beats...

Cardioversion advised after months worth of Apixaban. Breathlessness better some days than others,same with palpitations!

Since the last cardioversion, I only had one major afib episode - and yes, of course it felt like a heart attack - but it passed and the vacation went on.

Hello, Have just been telephoned to say that I am booked in for a cardioversion on 29 May. I am going to be away from 22 to 28 May so unlikely that I will get any information posted to me until I get back. The nurse has arranged for me to have my bloods done on the morning of the cardioversion.

Hi ive had Afib for 2 years or longer ,it was found accidentally , my dr wants to do ablation since i’ve had cardioversion that did not work , but i’m not sure about it , can someone tell me the procedure?

I’m waiting for a cardioversion date but also they want to put a camera up my nose and down to my heart to see what has gone wrong with my last ablation. I’m a bit apprehensive about the camera thing. Anyone had this done please and what was it like ?

My husband had a successful cardioversion in February and luckily is still in regular sinus rythmn. We are wanting to go to Australianin sept to visit relatives and have a long awaited holiday. Has anyone done this and been ok? Thanks

One (normal) heart scan later and it was decided to list me for a cardioversion, which was successful for around 6 hours. I have a Kardia mobile so saved some time by emailing the results to my Cardiologist. He then prescribed me the dreaded Amiodarone and relisted me for another DCCV.
