Cardioversion

Cardiologist booked a cardioversion for February that was cancelled by the hospital booked another for march that was also cancelled so another was booked for April and I finally had my cardioversion.

Had an ablation done 11 days ago. Was feeling great and no Afib up until this morning. Been in constant Afib since - circa 8 hours so far (have a Kardia device to monitor it). Really demoralising. I understand that Afib episodes are common after ablation, however most of the 'episodes' I have read about

This I did and to cut a long story short I have been told to take 2.5mg Bisoprolol daily and that they would get me into hospital in a couple of weeks for a cardioversion.

I have been in persistent Af for almost 3 months with my cardioversion date set for April 13, eleven days from now. On Rivaroxaban as an anti-coagulant. On 120 mg of Verapamil for rate control but no rhythm control prescribed.

flecanide with the plan to give me IV Digoxin if the flecanide didn't work, some time after this a Dr told me I shouldn't have flecanide as it could give me a heart attack, some time later at my prompting I was given oral Digoxin which eventually slowed the heart rate, but I was still in AF, I asked about Cardioversion

I had cardioversion for Atrial flutter 2 weeks after ablation...lasted a few days then back to AF then in the last week I went back into Atrial flutter, 130 bpm meds are increased as I take max carvedidol now also take Digoxin plus lots of other lovely coloured shapes... came out of Atrial flutter

I have been free of unstoppable AF for two years, since an electrical cardioversion. I had not heeded the warning signs: several incidents in the last few weeks of Classical Tachycardia.

Hi I have been advised that I had an AF episode and the doctors carried out an emergency cardioversion. This was five days ago and I still feel tired and have big dizzy spells. Can any one offer advise on us this normal ?

As previously posted I had asymptomatic atrial flutter and bradycardia for 6 months and 3 years respectively. Following the CV I emerged without flutter but with bradycardia. 46 BPM. Previously bradycardia only occurred some hours after exercise. I think the shock of the CV has had the same result as

I had EKG and electrocardiogram that was "read" the next day by a visiting EP who became my EP until a few weeks ago when I underwent cardioversion by the same EP.

The upshot of this is that I am booked in for an urgent cardioversion, that I discovered that they are not sure what to do for the best, that I am a therapeutic challenge, and that the consultants don't agree on the best way forward.

I had cardioversion in 2012 and im on medication and warfarin for AF. I rarely have episodes but i need to ensure im properly covered. 😊Thanks in advance.

I must have a cardioversion first before I can be referred to the electrophysiology department or "They will ask why it hasn't been done."

Had a successful cardioversion for trial flutter on Thursday and all seemed to be going well! I took a walk this morning and was glad to get back as I felt it difficult to take a deep breath in, not as bad after I rested.

EPs won't do a cardioversion yet because of cardiac inflammation following the ablation. So if anyone can help with my questions, I would be really grateful. While I understand that ectopics and some AF are likely after ablation, is my experience normal?

I had previously been 2 years AF free following a DC cardioversion for Afib I recently went on a 2 week Caribbean cruise, and on the last evening i visited the casino and won (not a massive amount).

I recently had an unsuccessful cardioversion ( reverted to af after 11 hrs) I am due to go to Spain for a month in May. Although my insurance company are aware of my persistent AF I haven't informed them I have had a cardioversion. My question is .....do I need to inform them of the cardioversion?

The cardioversion I had last April worked for the first couple of hours, giving me an insight as to 'back to normal'. I would like to know other afib sufferers experiences with hybrid ablation, particularly how it affected your life after the first procedure. thanks

I am due to have a cardioversion next Thursday 9th March. In the meantime have got a really bad cold and wheezy chest. Doc has given me some antibiotics and steroids to try to get me to my appointment.

The plan is cardioversion in 2 weeks but I am wondering whether to go for ablation on the basis that it may provide a longer term solution. I don't see a downside to cardioversion but my atrium is already moderately enlarged and I understand it may normalise if the flutter can be eliminated.
