I'm new here, I was diagnosed with an enlarged heart and leaky valves as a teenager in 1963. I was also diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation in 2008 after feeling fatigued and having a heart rate around 110. I underwent cardioversion and was prescribed Metoprolol, this kept my heart rate around 55. I started taking Lisinipril in 2012 for slightly high blood pressure. The AFib occurred again in 2015 and I underwent another cardioversion. This corrected the problem again and the doctor prescribed Flecainide. The Flecainide did not keep my heart beat steady so we went back to Metoprolol. No problems in that area since. My doctor now wants to start me on Eliquis to reduce the risk of stroke. Has anyone have problems with Eliquis?

Eliquis is one of a number of modern anticoagulants and many people take it with no problems provided that the advise given re when and how to take is correctly followed.
Welcome roychris. I’ve been taking Apixaban (Eliquis) for over four years without problems. You will need to take two daily doses 12 hours apart as your doctor will advise.
