First cardioversion
After being diagnosed 10 months ago (no idea that I had afib) I've just been booked in for my first
cardioversion
in a few weeks. I started taking Warfarin 9 weeks ago and my INR has finally gone over 2! Any advice please? Thanks

Alcohol after Cardioversion. They suspect there's a risk but don't tell you.
If alcohol is felt to be an important contributor in any individual case, this will be addressed prior to
cardioversion
.

On the return of AFIB.....Cardioversion/Ablation
After 4 years 6 months since my last
cardioversion
, symptomatic Afib has returned (I lasted 7 years previously). My consultant has now recommended me for ablation after my next
cardioversion
. The last two cardioversions were under a general anaesthetic but this one one will be under sedation.

Dronedarone
I went to A and E and had a
cardioversion
which was successful ( hopefully) and have been prescribed Dronedarone ( Multaq). I’m now expecting to have an ablation soon. Blood tests are organised with the hospital. Has anybody else had any experience with this medication?

Cardioversion & Low heart beat
Hi had my 3rd
Cardioversion
last Tuesday, Looks like I’m still in rhythm, only really light headed & my pulse seems stuck on 40/42 bpm. Even if I walk 2to 3 miles still only 53 bpm.... any ideas.?

Alcohol after Cardioversion
Some of you asked me to update you after my
cardioversion
. I stayed in NSR for five days until I drank half a bottle of wine at a belated birthday celebration.

8th day in AF
Generally at St George's they are reluctant to give
cardioversion
particularly as I've had about 10 before. So my question is - is there any evidence cardioversions cause long term damage? Tim.

Is this Afib?
I was diagnosed with Afib 4 years ago and needed
cardioversion
. I have had a few weird symptoms since then but nothing that needed intervention. Now, almost everyday i feel my heart miss a beat and it takes my breath for that moment.

Exercise with AF
I am now in permanent AF after cardiologist doesn’t recommend any more cardioversions. When I was in sinus rhythm between cardioversions I was able to exercise quite a lot. I was wondering now about the dangers,if any, of exercising with AF. I have recently developed pulmonary hypertension which makes

Afib much worse after ablation, anyone else?
Twelve days later I had a
cardioversion
that kept me in NSR for just three days. I'm now 18 days post-ablation with a racing heartbeat of 160bpm at any minor activity, reaching for a cup of tea, getting out of my chair, bending down.

Had ECG and Echocardiogram and was booked in for
cardioversion
and put on waiting list for another ablation.(approx 14 months waiting list). ECG showed back in AF but also atrial flutter.

Update on ablation number three
I went into St Bartholomews for ablation number three on Tuesday. Everything was very efficient and I felt very safe in what was a COVID free hospital, I was also pleased to be visited by my consultant Mr Sporton who had said he wanted to do it himself this time . The ablation was under general anaesthetic

To ablate or not ablate, that is the question...
I had a successful (so far),
cardioversion
nearly 8 weeks ago. I spoke to my cardiologist yesterday and he said we are only managing my AFib, with medication and strict lifestyle change.

Anxiety cardioversion
Cardioversion
. Adding to post as keyboard disappeared. Need to know what U.K. do for patients who are so terrified they walk out? Can’t cope at all. Everyone gets on with it but not me. Never had blood test or surgery in 60+ years.

Relapse after cardioversion
I'm due a
cardioversion
next week. I'm warned that I may revert to arrhythmia within a couple of months. Can anyone tell me, does reversion happen suddenly or gradually, or can it be either?
