First cardioversion

After being diagnosed 10 months ago (no idea that I had afib) I've just been booked in for my first cardioversion in a few weeks. I started taking Warfarin 9 weeks ago and my INR has finally gone over 2! Any advice please? Thanks

I understand that the minimum INR needed for protection against blood clots is 2, and most people with AF try to stay in the range 2-3. Only higher than 5 is getting serious. Those doing the Cardioversion will have their own standards for expected INR range since there is a slight increase in risk of a blood clot in the first month or so after the op.
