So brief update, flutter two years ago, ablated causing fibrillation. Catheter cardioversion fixed that then ten months fine no medication. August and September last year had three night time fibrillation episodes all fixed by 200 mg Flecainide PIP. Since October 2019 been on daily 100 mg Flecainide morning and evening. No more Fibrillation some ectopics. Stress test last October resulted in “less than 1% chance of a heart attack in the next 2 years” assertion by the cardiologist doing it. So here’s the question, when I see my guy in August do I ask him whether I can stop the Flecainide and just have it ready as PiP? Also I turn 65 in November and my stroke score is very low so not on any medications. I can tell straightaway when Afib has started and would prefer not to be on medication if possible because it seems to affect my mojo and make me feel more anxious...

I understand u not wanting to take pills,

I thought after my ablation I’d not be in them (Cept apixaban which is pretty essential...)

But I’m still in Flecainade, daily and cardio said it was because I if did small afibs in the night and I’d not know about it. I’m in France so I just accepted what my cardio said. So not all of us get off the tablets afterthe ablation... ......the low dose u r on maybe it’s keeping the wolf at bay?
