Arrhythmia anxieties pre-cardioversion
I have been referred for DC
Cardioversion
and have this lined up for Tuesday. I understand that the
Cardioversion
has a reasonable chance of success, at least short term, as this is a provoked arrythmia, but I'm really worried about having to contend with a dodgy rhythm long term.

Return of the Duck. The Saga Continues.......
I think at last post 2 years ago, I was on the list for mitral valve repair and had been back in nsr for a few weeks, following a much needed

How effective is cardioversion for Persistent AFib?
I expect to be prescribed an alternative antiarrythmic (he mentioned amidarone as a possibility last time I saw him) but I will ask him about the suitability of a

Neuropathy
I also had kidney failure and heart arrythmia and needed
cardioversion
. After coming out of icu I had a pacemaker implanted. After being discharged from hospital I was recovering well after about six months when I started getting pins and needles in my legs and a burning sensation at night.

How Long Before Improvement?
Maybe 10-15% better than before
cardioversion
. I did however feel very hot and sweaty but then so did my wife and she said it was a hot day so maybe that was a normal response.

Cardioversion - Overnight
Hi I’ve been informed my
Cardioversion
will be in September, woo hoo fingers x, however, I don’t have anyone to say overnight with me afterwards. Do I really need someone or will they have to admit me for one night, as I don’t want to take up a hospital bed. Thanks 😊

Cardioversion NHS waiting time.
Cardioversion
likely to be recommended. Wondered what waiting times people were experiencing? Thanks for any contributions.

Help and support
He is having a
cardioversion
on Thursday, we are both very worried, I just wondered if anyone on here has experienced this and what was the outcome after. I feel that our world has come crashing down, and I don't know what the future holds. 🥺

How do you know if you are still in sinus rhythm
I had my first
Cardioversion
two days ago. I had three shocks to get my heart back into sinus rythmn. I thought I would feel much better but to be honest I feel just the same. I still have palpitations, still feel like I have run a marathon by the end of the day.

Cardioversion update
After a wait of 7 months being in persistent AF I finally had my CV this morning. All went well and back in NSR after 1 shock. Resting HR is around mid 50s and Bisprolol reduced to 1.25mg. Follow up with the EP in 3 months.

Cardioversion
Anyone had
cardioversion
while pretty much awake? I had sedation going on but was fully aware when it happened. Interesting experience to say the least. Just wondering if that was a standard experience of it or maybe I just got unlucky that I woke up?

Back In AFib
I generally don't revert naturally and required a
cardioversion
in the past. To say I am disappointed is an understatement as I really thought it had gone. Has anyone any experience of what the likely view of cardiology will be after 2 ablations? I was in persistent AF previously.

Flecainide before Cardioversion
My question is, I am still on Flecainide but is there a minimum or maximum number of days you can/should be on Flecainide prior to a
Cardioversion
? Sorry this is so long, but wanted to give as much background as I could.
