Bronchiectasis & heart problems
I am new to this site and came across it while doing a little research on my condition! I was diagnosed with bronchiectasis in 2015 after a routine X ray showed a shadow on my lungs. I had various tests and was prescribed Azithromycin 3 times per week. I also have arrhythmia! I have had a catheter ablation

Atrial Tachycardia following Ablation for Atrial Fibrillation
I am 47 year old male in decent health (apart from this). In September of last year I went for an annual Blood Pressure test at my GPs. The nurse doing the test thought my heart rate was high and suggested I have an ECG. After having the ECG and visiting the hospital I was told I had persistent AF.

My Current Situation
Finally scheduled for a

. It's moderately successful but only clears up part of the issue. Three months later, bedridden and alone, useless, and unloved, I swallow 20+ Percocet prescribed for back pain, which has plagued me since 2002 (and worse yet since 2008).

CRT - D Pacemaker Part 3

I no longer take

last November to help get off Cardizem. Also have refused statins all along (what a battle), off lisinopril, off long and short acting insulins, off asthma meds ( no attacks).

I am new here - Mucous Membrane Pemphigoid and Mycophenelate
I was diagnosed with AF in 2000 and eventually had a successful
cardiac
ablation
in 2011. At a similar time I was diagnosed with Mucous Membrane Pemphigoid (MMP) which is basically an incurable autoimmune blistering disease.

Fatigue following catheter cryo ablation
11 years ago I developed Atrial flutter for two years and 3 flutter ablations then went on 6 months later to develop paroxysmal atrial fibrillation 9 years ago Typically I would have an arrhythmia every two months for 8 hours. 8 months ago I was assaulted by a stranger and quickly developed PAF every

Recovery time for catheter ablation.
I have WPW syndrome and I have and arrhythmia which is caused by this and the doc told me I will need a catheter ablation. I am 16 and I smoke, what would be the recovery time for me and would there be a higher risk to the procedure due to my bad habit or my age?

Catheter Ablation at 28 years old
Hi all, After suffering with an irregular heart for 10 years, I had been turned away from my GP several times, being made to feel like I was a fraud or told I was just suffering with anxiety or stress (silly hysterical women). After a particularly bad bout in October last year, I was 'diagnosed' with

Are There Ablation Success Standards?
I have been more focused over the last few years on matters other than
cardiac
and electrophysiology. Most of the
ablation
centers in the U.S. used a (6) six month sustained Normal Sinus Rhythm as a success standard. This standard usually incorporated the use of rate and rhythm control drugs.

My first Catheter Ablation experience(s)
Hello I thought I would write to say that I had my first (hopefully, only) Catheter Ablation at a famous London hospital 2 weeks ago. Coming off flecainide
Hi, I've been on flecainide 50mg x2 per day for 6 months following new episodes of SVT ( had successful catheter ablation 3 years ago) with horrid side effects - light headed, shaky, unsteady, tired and my EP has told me to come off it now and go onto Diltiazem. I have been gradually reducing the dose

Dabigatran (Pradaxa) & AFib
I have had my blood thinning medication changed to Dabigatran, and I am awaiting a catheter ablation. Has anyone suffered side effects and can I drink alcohol while taking it?

3 month review after Cox maze
in April I had a mini-maze procedure and LAA occlusion as part of a clinical trial. The second phase is to have a catheter ablation. This will involve mapping my heart and ensuring that the lesions made previously have not left any electrical pathways. If they have, they will be fixed there and then
