Post ablation (1 week) and back in AFib. How often is this likely to happen over next few weeks?
Had a Cryo-
ablation
last Tuesday at Lancashire
Cardiac
Centre and was ok for a week, albeit with a few spells of ectopic beats and a very short run of AF (30-40 seconds only). Went on a short walk with dog yesterday morning and another today (bit longer but only slow walk and 15 mins or so).

Amiodarone
And annoyingly, the tachycardia is much more frequent (daily) than it was before the last
ablation
.
Cardiac
nurses have said that’s not uncommon. 🤬 I’ve been through sotalol, tikosyn, and currently dronedarone.

Shocked by Ablation
During a catheter ablation yesterday, I experienced a mild pain similar to heartburn. I had been warned about this and it didn`t worry me. I also, however, experienced what I can only describe as an electric shock. It was severe enough to jerk my upper body 10 or 20 degrees off the bed. I also experienced

AV node ablation
hi all I thought I would let you know I had my AV node ablation last Friday. If you have read My posts you will realise I was scared silly about it as it is so final. Dr Graham at LGI was amazing as were all the staff. They were so careful to make sure I was as calm as I could be. The procedure

Superventricular tachycardia along side PV
Hello everyone I hope your all well 😊 I have been posting about my experience with STV and just wanted to update everyone. I was seen by cardiology yesterday and it was confirmed it is STV I have been experiencing. The treatment I have opted for is catheter ablation. Unfortunately there us a 6 month

Post ablation
I had a
cardiac
ablation
2 days for PAfib . I’m feeling well and was told the procedure went smoothly. I had thought that after the procedure I would gradually reduce the medication over a period of perhaps 3 months or so.

6 month post mini maze (surgical ablation) in the U.K. All is going well, no regrets
hello you lovely lot. I thought I would give you an update as I have had my 6 month (and final eeeek) review with my mini maze surgeon Mr Hunter this morning. All has been going well, in sinus rythm since my mini maze. I had a two week heart monitor a few weeks ago, all good! I have a low burden

Exercise capability after AV node ablation
Why am I unable to obtain a heartbeat of more than 80 BPM.I become very tired and presumed my heartbeat would be about 140 BPM!

John Mandrola: Is the Field of Electrophysiology Stuck?
He also makes the point that Pulsed Field
Ablation
is just another way to destroy
cardiac
tissue with success rates only marginally better. PFA is faster but there are serious complications including stroke and tamponade. There is little advance in treating the underlying causes of AF.

Fear and despair AV-Node may not help with my problem
Dear forum community, I have a question and at the same time I am very concerned about the answer. For more than 10 years I suffered from PAV which came more and more often and is always very symptomatic. The worst part for me is the feeling in my chest, the pounding and the feeling that can best be

Pace and Ablate update
It has now been seven months since I had my AV node ablation following having a pacemaker fitted in March and I thought I would just let you know how things are now. Hopefully this will also help those of you who may have to have the Pace and Ablate procedure next year. Whilst it has taken all of this

AV Node ablation and still being in AF
Hello everyone I think I may have not been on this forum for ages Question: After having AV node ablation the heart will still experience AF - does the damage continue to the heart even though you cannot feel the AF I have had 4 normal ablations but have not worked, I have Heart failure because

What does your mitral regurgitation feel like?
As far as I know, I’m not yet a candidate for any mitral valve intervention. I have MVP and moderate MR, with a history of catheter ablation for Afib 2+ years ago. (The Afib was possibly caused by the MR, but the docs can’t say for sure.) My question to all: What does your mitral regurgitation feel

SVT after ablation
Hi everyone, In preparation for my post-ablation 3-mo follow-up with my EP Monday, I wore a Zio
cardiac
patch for 6 days two months post-
ablation
, and the results came in today. Findings: Predominant underlying rhythm was SR.

Should I have second cardiac ablation?
I am currently scheduled to have my second ablation in a few weeks. I’m currently having second thoughts on going through with it. I’m a 32 year old male, who’s relatively healthy. In the past 3 years I’ve had multiple instances of AF, have had 3 cardioversions, and one cryo ablation. Out of the 5-6

Diagnosed with Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding
Hello everyone, I am new here. I am looking for any advice or if anyone has had a similar experience - I started bleeding heavily May 2021 after 20 years of no issues on the mini Pill (Desogestrel) I had a transvaginal scan (Sept 2021) and a hysteroscopy (Jan 2022) as a polyp was suspected, but nothing

RECOVERY FROM PULSED FIELD CATHETER ABLATION – ANYONE HAD ONE YET?
Some of you may have seen my recent update post relating to my decision to have a catheter ablation to try and sort out my early persistent AF (which was tolerable in terms of symptoms at the time). The decision was swayed for an active/invasive intervention when I was offered a relatively new procedure
