What is the best calcium supplement to take which will not induce stomach or intestinal pain and problems?
Hi, I was recently prescribed
calcium
carbonate after a slightly low bone densitometry test. But this supplement gave me quite severe stomach cramps and bloating. What is the best
calcium
supplement which will not, or is less likely to, induce gastrointestinal problems please?

Over medication for HBP
He has prescribed a
calcium
channel blocker in addition to Ramipril 5 mg. I don't know what dose or name of the CCB yet as it has not yet been issued by the chemist. However my readings today have been 124/85, 127/83, 120/74, 123/88 !

Hashimotos/hypothyroidism low calcium?
So I was expecting my
calcium
level to be high but it came back as 2.06 and the range is 2.2-2.6. My corrected
calcium
was 2.03 the range being the same. I just wondered if this can happen with hashimotos or hypothyroidism.

Did you know that one? (Calcium)
However, low
calcium
intake doesn’t necessarily equal poor bone health, as seen in countries with low dairy and
calcium
consumption.

Causes of Osteoporosis
Hi, My blood turnover results (P1NP and CTX) are good, PTH within range as are my thyroid function results. 24 hour urine
calcium
is below the minimum range. I am not on any osteoporosis medication. I have osteoporosis in my lumbar spine (DEXA -3.5).

Help!
My Dexa scan just showed osteopenia, my Vitamin D and
Calcium
levels are normal. I have an appointment with an endocrinologist at the end of August, it seems everyone just scratches their head and have no answers for me and just tell me I am to young to be going through this.

Home baked gluten free seeded bread with quinoa.
Sesame seeds are a great natural source of
calcium
and gives extra crunch to the crusts and I really like pumpkin seeds especially the roasted ones own top. I put the mix in a large loaf tin and left to prove about 30mins before baking at 175C for 35mins.

Man Who Recovered Using Meditation was on Terazosin?
His only medications at this time were alendronate, terazosin, ASA, and
calcium
; these medications do not interfere with SPECT DaT results. No, "terazosin" does not interfere with scans. Yes "terazosin" is being bandied about as a possible PD cure. What a small world!

What do you do for anxiety if Xanax no longer works? I’ve Valium an alternative? I take Paxil and won’t be coming off that anytime soon due to withdrawal symptoms. Thanks for any advice.
