I had xrays of left hip & right shoulder, ordered by GP. Just found out that the left hip apparently showed borderline, early stage arthritis changes.
I'm 45. Ith my B12D I've had a lot of stiffness and feeling of being immobile, slow and inflexible, pains in legs, ankles, arms, elbows, hands, both before B12D was found, and when treatment was stopped last year. Being immobile & unable to move much or exercise has probably not helped. It all got a lot better with treatment through 2019, and gradually better in last few months with treatment again. I'm 2 weeks in to doing weekly jabs now, so hoping for improvement all round.
Can this early stage arthritis be from un/under retreated B12D? Can it be resolved with now more frequent treatment by injections? Is it worth asking/pushing for a rheumatologist referral - are they any more switched-on to B12 issues??
There is arthritis in my family, but not usually til a little older.
Is there anything else that would work well in conjunction with B12 for this? I have been taking VitD spray, I take a glucosamine/joint supplement, omegas, get a lot of calcium in diet, also supplement folate, iron, magnesium...
Thanks in advance for any advice!

My daughter went through rheumatology and didn't even test for b12.Again a lottery to who yiu see . She had 'borderline 'alot of things. Then a wrong diagnosis of fibromyalgia.
So i imagine 'caught in time ' you are doing all you can.
Weight us important but csn be a vicious circle if cant exercise.
there are two types of arthritis - osteo-arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
osteo-arthritis could involve B12 deficiency
rheumatoid arthritis is more related to auto-immune responses, and if you have one auto-immune condition (eg Pernicious Anaemia) it is likely that you may develop other auto-immune disorders - but the condition wouldn't be related to B12 deficiency.
Thanks Gambit62, yes I know and I think (assume) this is osteo. Sone auto-immune blood tests were done recently & all were ok. My B-i-L has rheumatoid and has really suffered terribly for a long time, and I don't have symptoms like his.
My Mum has osteo, worsening now tho not terribly bad for her age (81), perhaps delayed due to plenty of glucosamine etc supplements - she has had a lot of B12D/PA type symptoms for a very long time (I can see now I know a lot about it, she was tested when mine found & told just in range).
Her dad had arthritis badly from a bit younger, prob from early 60's.
My sister (54) had arthritis found a couple of years back, but also could have B12D/IFNegPA same as me (had B12 level checked when I had mine found, her level was "in range" but she may have been on general supplements & has a growing number of symptoms that could indicate deficiency).
