HELP⁉️❓🆘
I could really use some help with shopping & preparing CKD specific meals. However I'm having quite the dilemma right now. One problem is I'm low income, & have 🫰 benefits, so I have limits on what I can spend, which also means no mail delivery pre packaged meals, & I may be wrong, but I've noticed

Biotin and blood tests
Can anyone remind me of how long I need to stop biotin before a blood draw please? I have upcoming tests for thyroid levels, calcium, coeliac antibodies and cortisol. Thanks!

My brother will go for his second treatment on June 19th. Spoke to the PA yesterday. She said he’ll now get 80% dosage instead of 100%, because they’ve found out it has the same effect. Anyone else hear about this? All labs are good….PSA down from 250 to 215, hemoglobin is at 8.5, calcium is slightly

Phosphate binder trouble
Hi everyone! Hope someone can help me with this question. My doctor put me on a phosphate binder, sevelimir ( hope I spelled that, right) and after taking it for a few days, it felt like I had swallowed concrete. I felt like my esophagus was going to blow up and my stomach pressure was unbearable. I

calcium citrate with no artificial sugars
A minor question I hope you don’t mind. I’ve just read ‘Ultra Processed People’ book about additives in our diet. Eye opening and shocking to say the least! My calcium prescribed tablets have multiple artificial sugars which I want to avoid. Can anyone recommend a make that doesn’t have them? Preferably

Valium for the flight
morning all. I had a CA in 2019 and it’s been a long road building up my confidence and trust again but I’m goin on holiday soon but Iam starting to get very nervous about flying. What if I take ill on plane? I’ve heard people take a Valium before flight if nervous. Would that be ok on my heart meds?

Supplements and self-care
Hi everyone, I am new to this site and to this forum. It has been a wealth of information. I know there have been plenty of other threads, regarding supplements, and how we take care of ourselves, but some of them have aged and just wanted to start a fresh one. I am 53 and was diagnosed with stage

Myoglobin
I think i over done my muscles on left side from the waist down, did far too much walking and walking on uneven surfaces and diving in sand dunes while on uk holiday. I came home and 4 days later it looked like my urine had turned into ribena, doctors diagnoised myoglobin and said its caused from damaged

waiting for the result of a 24 urine test as possible hypercalcaemia
I am waiting for the result of a 24 hour urine test. I have previously had above the normal range calcium tests. This has been going on for about a year. I’m guessing that the culprit is lithium but I’m wondering whether steroids can cause this ?

hello to you all I have recently been prescribed chewable calcium and vit D3 tablets which I take twice a day. I started them yesterday and within an hour my heart was all over the place. One minute my pulse/heart rate was 46 and then it went up to 100. I felt out of sorts and wondered if it was coincidental

I had a liver biopsy, my score is F3 S2 (NASH) I was told I don’t have cirrhosis yet. However, I have been getting spider veins on my legs and feel pain on my veins on the back of my legs up to my thighs. They are not bulging and the pain lasts for a couple of days and then it’s gone. I have

SOY ISOFLAVONES
Has anyone had any positive affects from taking soy isoflavones or other isoflavones for bone density? I see much research that shows Dairy products, especially milk actually makes your bone density worse due to the effects of acid factors of it. That we actually do not need dairy as adults and should
