AFIB, Besremi refused by insurance, and more
On December 1, I felt breathless, climbing stairs quickly and caring for my husband (who had open heart surgery in November). I felt like my heart was beating fast, and I was winded. But it got worse: My apple watch said I was in AFIB. AFIB??? I have no heart issues. I went to the emergency room

No more multiple PVCs after daily sauna
I am a 58 years old male. I went into cardiac arrest almost 2 years ago when I was rapid afib. I now have a pacemaker defibrilator. Thanks to my diet, rich in potassium and magnesium, I have been afib free most of the time. Though at times I still had multiple PVC's, bigeminy usually at lunch time.

Update 7.3 Good news this time
My HCT had been creeping up over time as my iron levels improved. 12/19 HCT=47.9% and HGB=15.5. Since it was now consistently above target for PV, time to do something. Unfortunately, the liver enzymes were close to 3x/upper limit of normal ALT=157, AST=94.0, ALP=211. We were all in agreement that

Timing of Magnesium L-Threonate dosage
(Apologies to those who have seen this in the FB Parkinson’s group. I thought I would expand my reach since I haven’t gotten a response yet.) My question is for those who take Magnesium L-Threonate. This is the one I take. It says to take 4-2 in the morning and 2 “two hours before bed.” That second

Angiogram results
Hi all, i eventually got my angiogram results back with a calcium score of 0 which I take as good news. But I did mention something else which I don't know the meaning of so I'm wondering if anyone knows what this means in layman's terms.(Anomalous origin of the left circumflex arising from the right

Hold on BiTE study
My husband was supposed to start being evaluated for the BiTE study but ended up in the hospital instead. He was low on fluids, iron, calcium, and a number of other things and was too nauseous to eat or drink almost anything. Everyday his blood numbers dropped till his hemoglobin was 6.7 and they transfused

timing of supplements
I am confused about whether it is beneficial to take supplements at certain times of the day or with/without certain pairings. Perhaps it just doesn’t matter, which would be much more convenient. This is what I am currently doing,, but I’d appreciated any suggestions, especially if you think I am overthinking

Only temporary respite from IV iron?
Back again - thought I was done with RLS after my iron infusion but seems like the respite was only temporary. Presently having symptoms from dawn until dusk, though some days are worse than others. Iron IV was 6 weeks ago; have just had bloods drawn for an iron panel so will see my neurologist when

Strengthening bones
HI All! Researching what I can do for my bones to help. I have had my fill of zoledronic acid and zometa. Currently on a break from them. My Onco. went 2 years on, then 3 years off, then 2 years on…to preserve my jaw. I am current of for another year and a half before she will consider another round

osteopenia worse, im on enoxaparin/ lovenox any thoughts on vitk2?
I had repeat dexascan says my hips are getting worse, anyone on enoxaparin/lovenox taking vit k2 for “calcium to bone absorption”? Docs are talking about fosamex, etc, but I would rather do vitamins if possible. Not looking for medical advice but would like to know if others with APS are taking it

Low TSH
hello, I’m wondering if some of you knowledgeable people can give me some advice please. I feel under medicated on 75 mcg of levothyroxine, but the doctor insisted that I needed a blood test, even though they agreed my symptoms sounded like I needed an increase in meds. I’ve called the surgery and surprise

Itchy skin with no rash
Wondering if anyone else has itchy skin? I've been SI B12 for a year and been feeling much better for the last 3 months, so reducing injections to 1 per week (sometimes less). However, in the last few weeks I have had terribly itchy skin, particularly around my front trunk but also in my scalp, hands
