(Apologies to those who have seen this in the FB Parkinson’s group. I thought I would expand my reach since I haven’t gotten a response yet.)
My question is for those who take Magnesium L-Threonate. This is the one I take. It says to take 4-2 in the morning and 2 “two hours before bed.” That second dose is really problematic for me since I don’t take anything else around that time. It’s not that I couldn’t set an alarm to remember-obviously, I could. It’s just annoying.
My questions are: what brand do you take and how much/when do you take them? If you take it right before bed, do you find that it it disrupts your sleep?
(For those who are unfamiliar, this type of magnesium is purported to help with cognitive function. I cut the dose in half as a test, and lo and behold, I’ve been experiencing some brain fog.)
TIA.

I just take my mag-threonate 2 pills probably half an hour before going to bed, don't feel like being religious on the timing of intake. If you don't need it to fall asleep, then taking it prior to going to bed shouldn't really make much of a difference I guess
I think the reason to take it before bed is because it's supposed to be calming. That said, I take it once a day, in the late morning, because I take it as a powder and mix it into my coffee.
I don't get cramps at night, which is the main reason I use it. So it's good enough, I guess.
