Thank you in advance for any insight. These are my test results, sourced from a private company - Randox. I would be hugely grateful for any help in interpreting these or my symptoms. I have experienced severe weight gain - which NOTHING will shift including weight loss drugs. I have had a hormonal

ppis or famatodine
ppis or famatodine reduce calcium absorption ,so with severe osteoporosis would it be better to take a calcium supplement.

GCA confirmed after Ear pain
Just to let you know that the result of my temporal artery biopsy has been confirmed as positive today. I had the biopsy on monday, just 3.5 weeks after initially going to the GP with earache. I am amazed actually as it was a result of knowledge on this forum that prompted me to go back to my GP, after

arthroscopy
Not really asking anything, just sharing. At last, today is the day I get my knee done (arthroscopy). Scary stopping anticoagulants for 2 days, but the cardiologist I spoke with last week did a good job reassuring me. Op being done under general anaesthetic. Am hoping it doesn’t trigger an af episode

Osteopenia?
A chat with the doctor's nurse and the diagnosis of of osteopenia. Osteopenia is the first stage before osteoporosis. Osteoporosis is when you break bones by falling. I fall now and then but it's because of peroneal nerve entrapment. The peroneal nerve lifts my toes. Without its help I trip

I need some help with this
I am having the most painful but weird cramping. It is only a night and it is getting worse, not better. Yesterday I had them and I did not have dialysis because we infiltrated the fistula, AGAIN. We thought it was the iron I was taking, but I stopped that last week. These cramps are not in my calves

Hello all this is my first post although I have been a member of this group for quite a while and have taken so much advice from all the posts. For the past year I have been working on gut health and maximizing my Vitamins. I have been taking Vits – D with K2, B complex with folate not folic acid (

Magnesium type
I had my husband on Natural Calm which is the brand I take. His mood lifted, he was less tired etc etc. The problem is it affected his toilet habits! My friend said better to spray and take it trans-dermally but she's talking about Magnesium Chloride. Is that any good to take? I've only ever taken

Wondering what supplements and brands of supplements everyone is on? I am 46 & live in the U.K. and have paroxysmal AF. I had an ablation 4 months ago. Not on blood thinners anymore. Taking verapamil but Dr advised to come off it soon. I really want to take the supplements that can help me but I know

Thoughts on Denosumab in my case
MO is suggesting Denosumab after my Dexa scan. Bone density normal in spine, osteopenia in right hip and osteoporosis on one part of left hip. I am wondering if with a -2.7 it is possible to control/improve with supplements and weight bearing exercises? What are you taking? Have added calcium. The

Osteoporosis
I had PMR from 2016-2019. Took Alendronic Acic for about 6 weeks but stopped because it was affecting my throat. Had bone density scan around 2017 which showed some osteoporosis and some osteopenia (record has been lost due to GP/house move). I was offered an Infusion of AA which I had in 2017/2018.

Advice on Taking Levothyroxine
Hi Eveyone Looking for advice. Is it ok if you don’t take Levothyroxine at exactly the same time every day? What I would like to try is taking it during the night when I wake up naturally (I usually wake a couple of times or more each night for the toilet). This would mean it could be taken at

Newbie and confused. Functional B12 deficiency?
Hi everyone, I am new here but I have been a member of the thyroid forum for many years. I've also just joined the Sjogren's and the lupus groups because some of my symptoms could be attributed to these though I have no diagnoses, and the Changing Faces group for my rhinophyma. I have Hashi's and thyroid

Antibiotic therapy. Now I have severe insomnia
On February 25th, 2024 I must have injured my gum and I got a tooth/gum infection which was treated first unsuccessfully with amoxicillin, then successfully with cephalexin for 7 days (Mar 3rd - Mar 10th, 2024). The night that I finished the cephalexin I had difficulty sleeping (5 hr 51min). Each night

cytomel and food
this is likely a silly question, but do the same rules apply to cytomel as synthroid when it comes to taking on an empty stomach? My synthroid bottle has a warning on it about not taking it with iron or magnesium and taking an hour away from food or drink. My cytomel doesn't have the same warning. Can
