osteopenia worse, im on enoxaparin/ lovenox any thoughts on vitk2?
I had repeat dexascan says my hips are getting worse, anyone on enoxaparin/lovenox taking vit k2 for ācalcium to bone absorptionā? Docs are talking about fosamex, etc, but I would rather do vitamins if possible. Not looking for medical advice but would like to know if others with APS are taking it

Unwelcome Set Back
hello there one and all. since my last post Iāve had an unwelcome flare up in my joints causing pain and hideous stiffening. I felt so disheartening going back to square one. the doctor has increased my Prednisone from 15mg to 30mg daily. this set back has created my usually strong mental health

Second Opinion?
In an earlier post I mentioned a vertebral fracture of my thoracic spine that was discovered only because my General Practitioner ordered X-rays because I'd been complaining of back pain for a very long time. I'd told my Onco-team as well. They shrugged it off every time I mentioned it saying, your

Hi Sue
I take 1200 mg gabapentin but in bed, 600mg getting into bed, and then 600mg in the middle of the night. This is partly because I have mild ADHD and am quite forgetful. But I don't suffer from RLS anything like some of the poor folk on here. Also I take the following supplements . 1g of vit c. 300 mg

Does biopsy help? Appreciate any feedback or personal experience.
Hi all, My condition in brief: 30 Y. Creatinine at 2.4 with and EGFR at 36. No symptoms. Proteinuria leak at 1g. Stage 1 hypertension. All other organ parameters are fine. As of now its CKD with unknown origin. Nephrologist suggested biopsy. I have an idea of what it is but trying to get some feedback

Pins and needles feeling
It all started on Tuesday. I had a bloated feeling and thought it was trapped wind? Took a Windeze and it seemed to help that feeling but then got a tingling in my face which was weird this then progressed to my shoulder's, arms and chest. It then seemed to ease and I just carried on. It was an effort

Am I getting enough calcium and should I take a supplement
Iāve done the osteoporosis.com check and it says I donāt. However, blood tests report I do get enough. Doctors have never mentioned I have a lack of calcium. Iāve bought a triple supplement that covers calcium, K2 and D vitamins. I have yet to start taking. If you have too much calcium itās also not

Can low weight take a toll on Dexa results?
I've recently heard and read lots of conversations regarding DEXA results and low weight, I was diagnosed with osteopenia at the age of 31 (a year after my pregnancy) my height is 160cm my weight used to be 49 kg. No underlying health reasons were found except extremely low D vit and calcium levels

Magnesium for RLS
Merry Christmas! While I've said the below in various Replies, I thought I'd put it in a post. I've been taking at least 400mg a day of magnesium citrate for some years now, since I had it recommended to me by a relative: 600mg a day initially stopped my RLS within days, and 400mg a day (the amount suggested

Calcium supplements - are they essential for PMR
I saw my GP a couple of days ago and whilst there he reviewed my Calcium/Vitamin D3 supplements. I currently take an EvercalD3 tablet twice daily, a super strength vitamin D3 +K2 tablet containing 4000 iu vitamin D3 plus a multivitamin tablet. This gives me calcium intake of 3000 mg daily and 5000

As my GP has me down as a hypochondriac malingerer I need some evidence to force testing of calcium properly.
