Vitamin D is recognized as an important co-factor in several physiological processes linked with bone and calcium metabolism, and also in diverse non-skeletal outcomes, including autoimmune diseases, cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, obesity and cognitive decline, and infections. Sorry to interrupt your scrolling....
This meme gave me a chuckle this morning and how true it is. I have 2 toilet paper destroyers. 😂😂 Decided today is a good day to have a good day, so I’ve decided to take charge and take advantage of it when I wake up feeling okay. Feeling okay is much better than I was yesterday. 😁 Thanks to everyone

Magnesium is a life saver for me! Reduced OCD!
Hi all! I've been dealing with OCD for quite a long time, almost nothing helped me to really reduce it, but several months ago I read from one reddit useu that magnesium helped him a lot with OCD. After a ton of research I found out that magnesium is actually NMDA antagonist, it's basically functioning

Low Magnesium and Zinc Levels
My magnesium level is .72 (7 - 1) and zinc is 11.2 (11.5 - 20). I supplement with magnesium citrate in evening and magnesium malate in the morning and zinc picolinate each day as they were at these levels when I had a heart attack back in 2014. I am suffering from aches and pains, weakness, muscle

The immune system: Knocked off balance.
Instead of protecting us, the immune system can sometimes go awry, as in the case of autoimmune diseases and allergies. An LMU team has dissected how mast cells regulate their calcium levels to keep the immune response under control. The immune system defends us against attack by viruses and bacteria

What is the best calcium supplement to take? Here are some ideas
A lot of people ask us which is the best calcium supplement to take. We reply that the best one is whichever one you'll take regularly! There are a ton of products on the market, ranging from cheap to pricey and sometimes touting benefits or making claims that aren't supported by much evidence. Here's

Thoughts on test results
Hello I’m hoping that someone can give me your thoughts on my most recent test results. For the last 12 months my thyroid levels have been within range with no antibodies present. I’m on 75 mcg Levothyroxine, collagen and have just started a calcium, magnesium, zinc, vit D & K2 supplement. I had a GP

Coronary calcium scoring
Can someone help me out here cause I’m struggling to understand? I have read that the higher the calcium score on CT angiogram the more calcium plaque you have 0 = low chance of developing heart attack 11-100 mild plaque 100-400 moderate plaque 400+ severe plaque With this being the case then how come

TSH Suppression
Latest test results and they actually did all of them this time, much to my amazement. TSH 0.02 mU/L (0.20-4.5mU/L) Free T4 24.3 pmol/L (11.00-22.00 pmol/L) Free T3 5.1 pmol/L 3. (10-6.80 pmol/L) TSH suppression is about where it has been for some years and the surgeon is reasonably happy with that

Parathyroid
Hi everyone Ive seen a number of posts from people with parathyroid problems and felt I had to comment. Thyroid and parathyroid are entirely different things, para simply means next too and its a calcium disorder. A thyroid doctor is not the doctor for this, it is endocrinology but its as different

An Hallelujah from me
My Rheumatology consultation by telephone today was such a positive experience. I cannot express adequately how relieved and emotional I was to have a Rheumatologist not only listen but want to help. His opening line was “ well I think you have had just about every diagnosis in the book, which must have

I just had a look online at my gp records and my blood tests that the professor requested have all come back normal within range.the b12 result was over 1999 which is to be expected as I’m supplementing and the folate was over 10 which I’m delighted with.the tests for diabetes and calcium came back within
