Breastfeeding and pumping before baby arrives?
Hi. I am having a planned c-section due to placenta previa. I’m not sure on what week this will be yet. My consultant appt is the beginning of June. I am hoping to breastfeed so have been advised by a midwife to start pumping from 36 weeks to help bring in the milk ready for when baby arrives. Does

Numbness in leg
Hi ladies... firstly I will go docs but just wondered if anyone experienced the same. I’ve got this numbness in left leg/foot. I feed baby in same position and just wondered if this could be the cause as he’s always on that side of lap when I feed. Also.. could lack of sleep be causing this? Had s c-section

Anyone had C-section with anterior placenta?
Hi, I'm only 27weeks and after speaking with consultant I said I wanted a c-section and she agreed given my age (over 40) and I have a retrograde uterus with adhesions to my bowel from a previous surgery. Since then, I have just been told by the midwife I have an anterior placenta. A medical friend of

C- sects and digestion
Hi ladies... a bit tmi but just wanted to ask have your toilet habits changed since having c-section and if so does it go back to normal. I find that I go every few days 3/4 and it’s absolutely huge ( sorry for tmi) is this normal? Then I thought perhaps it’s down to my body clock changing as I’m

Any experience of Remifentanil during labour?
I am 30 weeks pregnant and had an appointment with an anaesthetist today to discuss pain relief during labour. I had spinal surgery at age 12 and I have been advised that they may not be able to administer an epidural. They have suggested that it would be safer for me to have Remifentinal during a natural

Swollen feet
Hi everyone, After a failed induction I had my baby boy via c section on Easter Sunday 💙 I’m recovering well, loving every minute with my baby and feel physically fine apart but my feet and ankles are massively swollen- does anyone have any tips on how to reduce the swelling? They weren’t even this

Feeling like a rubbish mum for failing at breast feeding.
Sorry for the long post but I really feel the need to air my feelings as no one in my family seems to understand. New Here
Here's my story: I was diagnosed in April 2016 when I was 70 years old. I had gotten up to play golf and noticed blood in my urine. Primary care doctor thought it was a UTI. It wasn't. He ran a PSA test. It was 14.7 and he sent me to a Urologist who immediately saw me when I was unable to pee.

Baby blues and leaving your baby behind at the hospital.
Hello. So I had an emergency c-section last thursday and baby was fine and she's done amazing things every day. We are still both in hospital as she needs to learn to bottle feed fully and not be tube fed but she's taking her time, and I had to recover. I have been suffering with "baby blues" and cry
