secondary hypo and doctor questioning diagnosis
Hello everyone, I moved to a new GP in the last few years (house move). When I moved, my doctor just continued prescribing levothyroxine because it was on my records and although he wasn't testing T3 he did look at T4 and seemed to listen to me when I explained the levels I needed to be at, in order

Most know the story. Something I can't figure out.
Most people here know my wife's story and went to the hospital with Eshauphageal erosion, but a typo on her Chart (Fibrosis vs Cirrhosis) had a dramatic impact. Doctors thought they were dealing with Cirrhosis vs NASH with Fibrosis. That was tracked down to a dictaphone error. In reality, two weeks

psoas Muscle Tumors
my OVCA metastasized to my Psoas muscle 6 years after preliminary OVCA diagnosis. Various chemo and immunotherapy are helping keep it contained. Has anyone had surgery for removal of a psoas tumor? I’d love to hear from you. Thank you.

Good news - After Endo
Well, what can I say? I went to my Endo appointment on Thursday armed with research papers, questions and my stand on having my thyroid taken out or ablated. Quite surprisingly, I saw a different consultant to the previous one I had seen last year, who sent me a letter stating that if I came back,

A.U.S. procedure, question about recouperation....
Hello all, Due to Prostate surgery and a Transurethral resection I have had an artificial urinary sphincter put in by an experienced surgeon about 4 1/2 weeks now. My incisions have healed nicely but my scrotum where the pump is installed is still very sore. My simple question is...is this normal

I am slowly feeling better, pain in the chest and discomfort in the back, left rib and sternum is still there but I know it will all fuse back together soon. I sometimes feel in my own world but present if you get what I mean. The one thing I have found difficult is the mood swings, I push myself to

Hello everyone. I was diagnosed with PMR just over 2 years ago and have posted on this invaluable site a few times. After high doses of Pred at the beginning with a possible threat of GCA,, which did not occur, I have yo-yoed a bit with stresses in life. However I am currently on 7 and a half mg and

Worried
I had half my thyroid out end of September last year as it was enlarged. I was assured all along (nearly 3 years) by ENT consultant that it was 'nothing nasty' but he decided during summer 2023 it needed to be removed when it was pushing my windpipe right across to the side of my throat. Results came
