Am new to this forum. Had sudden onset of PT since August. Had scan which showed AICA loop ? Now waiting for consultant appointment. Does anyone know of surgery offered to correct the loop from pressing on 8th cranial nerve? Can’t imagine having to live life with loud continuous pulsing in ear. Websites not full of hope for any solution. Does anyone know of anyone who’s had surgery.

Hi Minsky , I thought to ping you a note and check how you are feeling? I am no medical professional but did some reading and understand that recent research doesnt demonstrate with certainly that vascular loops are the cause of PT , as they could possibly be an incidental finding . Are you in the uk ? What have the specialist said?
hi and thanks for contacting me. I paid to see a private ent consultant (uk Cambridgeshire) and he said just that, vascular loops are not considered a cause just a coincidence. However I’ve since developed vertigo to go with my PT. The ear that just keeps on giving.! So now off balance with loud pulsating in my ear. Been given some meds but not really effective. Just have to plough on. Looked up some balance excercices which I hope will help. Thanks so much for your contact Daniekahobbs.
was that Mr Axon? I saw him too years ago for my other ear and felt I was in great hands I am so sorry to hear about vertigo. I don't have experience of this directly but members of my family suffered from this. I give you my warmest wishes for a quick and full recovery !
