I'm waiting for an abdominal ultrasound scan and vaginal scan due to low abdomen pain. Blood and poo tests all ok. Now have what feels like a UTI (very frequent urination, stinging) and was given a 7 day course of Cefalexin 500mg yesterday. Today GP surgery has rung to say no infection in my urine but

Rectocele repair surgery
I have been looking and looking for people's experiences of rectocele repair surgery and all I could find was stuff that completely terrified me, so much so I was in two minds whether or not to have the surgery. Basically I'm 38 and have been struggling with my prolapse since the birth of my son 6 years

Severe endo diagnosed endometrioma attached to bowel
hi everyone. Great to have a space to share story and get advice. Endo can feel like a very lonely condition at times! Has anyone ever had an endometrioma attached to an organ? How did it affect you? Been having excruciating and random pain episodes for up to an hour for over a year. Have been

Frenuloplasty scar / white tight tissue
Hello, I had frenuloplasty about 6 weeks ago using electrocautery, no stitches. The wound finally closed, but now there's like a scar / more like another frenulum. Just a tight, white band which still prevents the normal pull of the foreskin. Will it get healed properly or I need another surgery? Can

Cancerous thyroid nodules. Are they painful sometimes?
Id be really grateful for thoughts on this please. I'm awaiting surgery on a nodule that's suspicious for follicular cancer but obviously as we know, they can't be certain until its taken out. What i want to know is, has anyone had a painful nodule that can be really sore consistently (8 months now

Itchy?
Has anyone else had issues with being itchy? I am sure it's from the meds, as many have itchiness as a possible side effects. Strangely, it happens more in the afternoons than mornings...and randomly seems to happen in various places of my body. It never lasts for long, but enough to be annoying! My

Period after miscarriage
Hi guys, I had surgical management for my missed miscarriage on 9th Feb, and was told my period would return 4-8 weeks afterwards. I thought I felt ovulation end of Feb but I guess as my pregnancy tests were still a little light maybe that's why they showed positive on an LH strip. Eventually my pregnancy

Becoming a grumpy old git !
Hi all, Just an enquiry .... one of my rare ones. It concerns a possible side effect of medication. In the last 6 months or so I have changed three precribed medication. I list these as below ....
Simvastatin
was started in mid 2007 and taken continuously until, my Surgery Pharmacist asked

another cervical stenosis update!
going onwards from my last post re my husbands stenosis, we finally got a copy of the neurosurgeons letter to our GP at the weekend. Itās filled me with horror tbh. I know these professionals have to put things bluntly, but he really spelled out a negative picture. Officially classed it as āChronic

Newbie and confused. Functional B12 deficiency?
Hi everyone, I am new here but I have been a member of the thyroid forum for many years. I've also just joined the Sjogren's and the lupus groups because some of my symptoms could be attributed to these though I have no diagnoses, and the Changing Faces group for my rhinophyma. I have Hashi's and thyroid

What to do when denosumab course ends?
I have been on denosumab injections since July 2019, so the injection that I am to have next month will probably be my last. During this time I have not had a Dexa scan at all. I am under "shared care" between my GP and the hospital, which is in practice a complete joke, as I have to dairy it, order

Donāt comment about your products or paid advertisements, I just want ADVICE. Which diets make me lose weight the fastest? Before you say "that shouldnāt matter, it should be healthy" yes, true. But Iām wasting time. Iāve been involuntarily holding my weight FOR A MONTH and I donāt know how and why.
