I had surgical management for my missed miscarriage on 9th Feb, and was told my period would return 4-8 weeks afterwards. I thought I felt ovulation end of Feb but I guess as my pregnancy tests were still a little light maybe that's why they showed positive on an LH strip. Eventually my pregnancy tests did go negative after 3-4 weeks so that was good.
Last night and (mostly) today i've been having such bad period pains! Like I was fully ready to see fuuuuull aunt flow today but i've literally had nothing!! No blood, just extremely bloated and a lot of super bad cramps. I guess hopefully the blood will appear today or maybe tomorrow but just wondering if anyone else experienced this? I'm still in that window of it returning in good time, today is 5 weeks 3 days since the procedure so I'm not worried but I can't say i've ever had bad pain before without any blood, not even any spotting!
I'm half thinking maybe my lining this month is just bad post miscarriage so maybe that's why nothings coming out yet. With my last missed miscarriage I took the pills, not the surgery and it took 5 weeks to come back, it was pretty heavy but that was that.
Anyways, plz share experiences, I know everyone is different and there's no set rule but i'm intrigued lol.

Hi.it can take up to three months for your period to retin back to what is normal for you. IF it does take a long time it might be an idea to see whether you ne’er a hysteroscopy to check our yoour womb and biopsy the lining. Hope all soon settles down and you’ve had plenty of support around you just now. Diane
Thanks Diane! I actually have a hysteroscopy booked in in 3 weeks for septum removal so I guess they can check it all out then. Though I do hope my period returns before that!!
Sorry you've been through this. I was told it could go immediately back to normal or it can take up to 3mnths. I think you mainly start counting from when the HCG <5 and not from the day of the procedure, so I guess for you from the day the tests went negative? I still had 8 HCG, 10 days after. But I ovulated 10 days later, and had a period 2 weeks after that, so it was pretty quick for me in all. I also looked at my notes and I have an entry two days before my period started saying 'sudden intense cramps, woke me up' which isn't normal for me so although the period itself was, I think your body is still a bit tender after the procedure and sometimes there can be a bit of damage, which will hopefully heal but may hurt a bit for a while. It's good you're getting it checked though.
Ahh yeah that's true - I didn't have an HCG countdown either so guessing it wasn't at 0 or under 5 until a week or so ago! So maybe I'm in for a bit of a wait, and these 'period' pains are just my body settling down. I HATE not knowing, going from tracking everyday and knowing roughly where I am in my cycle to not knowing is the worst.
I know, it's a bit of a weird limbo. Once you've had you period hopefully it'll go back to normal for you, mine did, but it can be a bit uncertain for a little while for some women.
