It's hard right now
Five weeks ago I had a triple bypass. I was discharged after a week in hospital. When I was discharged I was eating well (quite enjoyed the hospital food!) and my bowel movements were normal. I wasn't sleeping much but that's to be expected in a hospital ward. Since then my physical recovery from

Salvage options?
Hello again, I have a few more questions, to help my husband decide between surgery and brachyboost. For context, he is localized Gleason 9. (1) Is the course of salvage radiation after RP typically the same as it would have been if the initial treatment had been radiation therapy? Or would it require

Paul Tube implant for Glaucoma
Hello, I am new here and wonder if anyone else has experience of having this surgery? Mitral Valve re-repair
In November 2023 I found out I had endocarditis. As a result I had surgery to repair my mitral valve. At the time it was successful and I was recovering well. However, when I had my follow up echo, around 3 months later, I found out the valve was leaking again and I am now waiting for surgery once I

Cyanocobalamin
Hi, I have just been informed by my GP surgery that Cyanocobalamin injections, which I have 4 weekly, have been discontinued in England. I am allergic to hydroxycobalamin so cannot have that. I know Cyanocobalamin is still available in Europe but my GP can only use what is available to them in England

Inflammatory Arthritis with Levothyroxine
Has anyone else had severe pains in their tendons and muscles due to Levothyroxine? 18 years ago I had an ESR blood test at my G.P.'s surgery as I had severe pains on Levothyroxine, this proved I had Inflammatory Arthritis, so I bought Armour Thyroid from the US as the only alternative at that time.

Surgery or radiation, looking for some advices
Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advices for my father. He was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. He probably already had it for a long time. Quite high PSA (way over 20), and spread to multiple lymph nodes. The surgeon said surgery is still doable, followed by radiation. Radiation oncologist

Unexplained “rash”
I’m currently into 6 years of PMR, having had my fair share of ups and downs, and am now on 3.5mg of Pred, which the Rheumatologist thinks will be necessary for a while. Other than that I’ve been in reasonable health. But a couple of months ago I had to have a biopsy on a lesion on my back. Whilst the

Need practical advice re:RRP for 76 year-old in fair shape
Hi everyone, My husband, just turned 76, is having a robotic radical prostatectomy on 5/13. He is (so far) Gleason 4+3, high Decipher score., clean PSMA. We eventually chose surgery as he's also been in retention for many months due to a median lobe, he preferred that to doing a HoLep followed by radiation

Excision surgery tips
hi all. Hope you’re well. 💛 I’m having excision surgery in 2 weeks, could you kindly share any recovery tips? I’m also having Endometrioma and fibroids removed. If you had an Endometrioma removed, did it impact your amh and by how much? Thanks so much xx

1 year anniversary of Hybrid Mini maze
My 1 year anniversary is actually Saturday but I’m sitting in a church hall acting as a polling Clark for the police and crime commissioners election, I’ve been here since 6:15 am and will finish about 10:15 pm, that alone would of been impossible 12months ago. There’s been highs and lows over the 12months
