I’ve had hypothyroidism for over 10 years and first few years struggled to get my meds correct in terms of ‘ how I feel’ (unbelievably sluggish and tired) which has meant fighting my Gp to allow TSH to be on low side (0.03). Nicotine, tobacco, smoking, chewing, snuff, patches, gum
I was born in 1947, the war was over , unemployment was high as the baby boom had yet to start to drive the economy. A coke or a coffee was 7 cents and a pack of cigarettes was 20 to 25 cents but many people rolled their own so a pack was probably a nickel. Homemade cigarettes would not continue to

Nicotine patches vs gum.
if you’re not aware, I’ve been experimenting with the nicotine patch. I found that it’s too much. I wonder if that why the trial failed. I found a couple pieces of gum, 3-4 a day as needed better. I will soon be off meds. They never really worked that good anyway. Nicotine works just as good if not

GYLNAC
I have to confess. I recently posted about my success with Nicotine patches. I just found this important on Glynac. Short for glycine and NAC. I’ve taken restore, gold pretty much since diagnosed. I don’t sell the stuff, but I am believer in its ingredients. NAC is the primary ingredient. About the

Nicotine Patch helps immensely.
For the last week, I’ve been wearing a 7mg nicotine patch with amazing results. Almost every night since I’ve slept through the night. My symptoms have improved, I have a much better sense of wellbeing. Nicotine has been known for years for its medicinal properties. Eggplant has the second most nicotine

Nicotine patches for tinnitus
I’ve just seen a video that suggested nicotine could cure tinnitus so I’ve ordered some patches to give it a go. Has anyone else seen or heard this before and if so was it effective Nothing ventured nothing gained

Zoladex experience
Hey there 👋 I'm just wondering if anyone has had a negative experience with zoladex? I am due to have my 4th injection next week, was supposed to be yesterday but appointment got cancelled. I'm also on Estradot patches and utrogestan tablets. I've never felt so shit in all my life and the only thing

Can progesterone-only contraception make endometriosis worse?
I'm having terrible pelvis, hip, leg and back pain and have done for most of the last year. I'm 39 and was only diagnosed last year, but have had symptoms since I was 10. I feel like my symptoms have got worse since my laparoscopy and excision last April, but have been trying progesterone only contraception

Anybody with PD using nicotine patches?
My husband with PD asked me to ask my friends on HU whether any have used nicotine patches. His MD prescribed some to try. But husband hasn't filled the Rx. So, if you've tried them what do you think. Did they help with energy or anything? What's the dose? And do you take them on a schedule? Any

Has anyone tried Nicotine Gum to treat ADHD?
I have been recently looking for treatment alternatives for my ADHD and I came across nicotine gum and nicotine patches. I was wondering if any of you guys have tried them and what your experience was with them.

Hello there I recently switched from the Estradot patches to Oestrogel as I wasn’t absorbing the patches well. I am now struggling to find a consistent time to put on the gel. When i work from home I will exercise in the morning, so shower twice. I worry i wash of the gel if I put it on first thing

Utrogestan & Estradot. Help needed
I started using Estradot patches earlier in the year and it was increased to 200 patches x 2 times a week. I wasn’t feeling too great and my ankles started to get swollen also got constipation!! I had a blood test done which showed my Oestradiol was 1,642 so crazy high!!! My Gp reduced the patch to

Weight Gain with IVF meds (FET)
Hi everyone, I started my first round of IVF back in March, I had a BMI of 29 so only just within the NHS requirements, and was told ideally to lose weight if possible. I seemed fine with the drugs for egg collection, obvious hormonal fluctuations and a few aches/tiredness, but nothing weight gain related

CHAPTER 6.THE SEARCH FOR HOPE "OUTSIDE" THE BUBBLE: OTHER NEUROLOGISTS, OTHER MEDICINES, OTHER DISEASES...
Explanation: I would like to share this chapter with all of you. Because of a worsening in my mother's health, I don't know when I will be able to resume the English translation of my book on curing Parkinson's. I will be sharing some chapters in this extraordinary forum. I have to stop my investigation

News that worried us and studies that gave us hope (04/2022).
This is the information that gave us hope while my father was alive and has given hope to many since then (March 2012). 1. News that worried us. In the coming decades the number of Parkinson's disease patients is feared to increase very worryingly, to double by 2030 (Dorsey 2007) and even to triple
