5 Weeks Non Smoker

Not bragging but want to share that I'm in my 5th week of quitting smoking. It's not over yet and I'm reminded that "pride goeth before a fall". I'm on nicotine patches and they must work because I haven't even had a serious urge. I've been quiet and calm, avoiding drama, and other triggers. Thanks for your support, good people. 🥰

Keep it up. It's 38 years since I stopped smoking—one of the best things I've done. I am 81 now. When I stopped, I used special nicotine chewing gum. I paid £10 for the prescription. It seemed a lot to pay at the time but well worth it.🙂🙂🙂

Congratulations..... I smoked back in the Stone Age.....in my late teens early twenties for a couple of years, they are so incredibly addictive....anyone who can quite cold turkey should really be proud of themselves...it's hard.

Wonderful!!!! well done you!!! I really believe you have to want to do it or you just wont.

I loved my cigarettes, and had no intention of giving up at all until my first heart attack!!! I gave up instantly!!! No replacement therapy, nothing!!! just never smoked again .I had a further 2 heart attacks and a double CABG in 2023. It is a hereditary condition. I can honestly say it was so easy and I dont miss them at all. Had it not been for that health scare I would stillbe smoking today. Thats 3 years now. Good luck and keep going

Yay for you! I'm jealous! I quit today; they were making me seriously sick, as if I were being poisoned. All of a sudden - nothing good about them -thought I was having a heart attack, or was being poisoned. I have a vaper and other substitues. Can't wait to reach 5 weeks, as you have. I'm sure you feel much better....

I do feel better, Beavis, thanks. And cheers yourself for quitting, too. 🥰
