A cautionary tale
He put me on the butrans patch and when I developed an allergy to the adhesive he started me on
buprenorphine
. All was good. My pain was managed well from 2012 to last month when I quit cold turkey because I was at the top of the dosage and it wasn’t working.

Miracle repeated!
The recent post about
buprenorphine
was very heartening. With any luck that will be more mainstream in the UK when & if Pregabalin effect wears off again. As I said I plan to accept non total resolution but just some decent sleep.

Update Dr Winkleman- Buprenorphine
I asked does he use
Buprenorphine
for his patients he said yes - However more often he uses methadone as
Buprenorphine
is more expensive . He said
Buprenorphine
is a great medication and has some added benefits for those that can afford it .

Started Buprenorphine 😴
He gave me a script for
buprenorphine
So far very interesting I did a straight switch from 15 oxycodone slow acting and up to 3 x 5 mg Endone quick release daily and 10mg stillnox NO withdrawals It is a 2 mg sublingual wafer I broke it into 8 crumbs because I am a scaredy-cat.

At last! Something that works
My GP wanted to try me on
Buprenorphine
patches. What a mistake! I have never been so ill in all my life. One of the side effects I experienced was restless legs and I was having to get out of bed every hour or so throughout the night.

Chronic Pain Illness and TTC
Firstly I'm on a high amount of pain killers and medications including the max allowance of Gabapentin and
Buprenorphine
which is a strong opiate. Obviously I'm aware I'd need to come off of my painkillers before getting pregnant but I'm really worried I won't be able to cope with the pain.

Changing Pain Medication
My GP has suggested swapping over to
Buprenorphine
7 day patches. I am a bit scared of trying something new in case it doesn't work and I'm in even more pain. Has anyone used this medication and did it work? I have seen some user reviews that say they don't last the seven days.

Pain Relief
The other day I was started on
Buprenorphine
10mcg/hr patch and the pain has eased a fair bit. Thank God for the patch. I still have pain but I can't get over how well the patch is helping. I'm delighted. Does anyone else feel the benefit of these patches? 😊

Cost of lifesaving heroin withdrawal drug soars by 700%
Buprenorphine
is an alternative to methadone that reduces the symptoms of withdrawal and lessens the desire to use heroin. It is estimated that more than 30,000 people in England use the drug, which offers a reduced risk of overdose compared with methadone.
