Buprenorphine

I asked my Dr for Buprenorphine and she readily agreed. Just before taking my first tablet last night I noticed that the brand name is Tephine. Does anyone know whether this matters? My first night I took a 200 mcg sublingual tablet.

During the discussion he mentioned he has a couple of patients who are now taking Buprenorphine but in their case the RLS was exceptionally severe.

My neurologist has been prescribing this since March and it has been helping my RLS. When I went to get my prescription filled a few days ago the pharmacist told me they are no longer carrying it because the way it needs to be prescribed has changed. I was able to find another pharmacy locally who

If I’m put on an opioid like methadone or buprenorphine sublingual, would I still have to completely avoid all triggers? I’m also asking for the very selfish reason of craving lemonade, orange juice, fruit punches, Gatorade, etc.

My real concern is the amount of Morphine these contain. 0.1-0.125 mg of Buprenorphine already contains 10mg of Morphine, as does 3.4 mg of Methadone, 100 mg of Tramadol and 7 mg Oxycodone, whereas 20 mg of Codeine (or Dihydrocodeine) only contains 3 mg of Morphine.

As the days went in my buprenorphine/Subutex worked again thank god !

I'm being moved off Buprenorphine Subs (0.2mcgs x 3 PRN daily) onto Tapentadol 50mg SR 2x daily and 50mg IR 2x PRN daily. Has anyone else made this transfer? I suffer from severe Lumbar/SI/Pelvic Pain after 3 fusions on my spine, plus Bursitis, and Cervical Spondylitis.

Does anyone know if this has the same constipation issues as other opioids?

Hello all, I am considering talking to my doctor during my annual physical about moving from 1.50 mg Ropinirole to a low dosage Buprenorphine.

Hi all, I’ve been on a 3 year journey off morphine with the help of a substitute, buprenorphine, gradually decreasing to a final dose of 0.2mg on Sunday.

Anyway, after a CT scan, it turned out to a be fractured vertebrae...discharged yesterday with buprenorphine patches, morphine solution, etc. Anyway, I just wanted to say it bloody hurts, and I think you should all feel sorry for me. I certainly do.

My GP suggested some pain patches, first off he suggested some Buprenorphine patches which when you look at the frequent side effects are which are significant especially for people with head injuries. I declined these.

Trying desperately to find something that will allow me even some sleep. Getting very little now and my outlook is diminishing quickly. Currently on Tramadol which is hit or miss. Some nights sort of ok and others not working at all

Also I understand with Buprenorphine it is one dose under the tongue every 24 hours. I am wondering, how does it last so long in the body? I am assuming it is sustained release. If so, does it last the full 24 hours?

A 10 day trial on low dose buprenorphine was to commence. It sounds silly to be offered a lifeline and yet to be terrified. That night there was to be a straight switch from 20 mg slow release oxycodone, 2 x daily doses of endone and stillnox .

Since buprenorphine is much safer than regular opioids, it should be quite reasonable for any doctor to realize that buprenorphine should be even a better choice than regular opioids for treating RLS.

I’m not sure if it’s the buprenorphine or not but I’m beyond tired during the day - I’m also fighting horrible allergies and a cold, so it’s a challenge to differentiate.

Hi again just to add to my last post, has anybody been prescribed these these for pain and if so how did you get on with them?. GP just prescribed them and they are an opiate based painkiller, so very scared to take them, any feedback would be great. Thankyou for reading
