Another night in hell !!

Been awake all night again crying in agony & not knowing what to do with myself. I know now that I have a combination of RLS & Post Polio Syndrome so adding that to the mixture of Osteopenia Arthritis top & bottom of my spine & Fibromyalgia my future looks very rosey indeed!! I’m waiting to be referred to Orthopaedic team re my back & starting Buprenorphine patches this week.

Happy days can’t wait for Christmas!!

Good luck everyone hope you’re all getting on ok xx

I have spent many long nights crying from the pain of RLS. My family get sick of putting up with me carrying on like this but I can't help it. They have no idea what it feels like. I used to be on the patches and it helped me a lot. I was prescribed them for my back but they helped with my RLS too. I started with Duragesic then got switched to Buprenorphine but I asked to be switched back to Duragesic as the Buprenorphine wasn't enough. I hope it helps you. I wouldn't wish the hell of RLS on anyone.

No one understands what it’s like I’m sure some think it’s a joke!! If only. Take care xx

I had osteopenia once, but my last two bone scans have been normal, so it can improve. I think getting diagnoses with celiac disease and getting on a gluten-free diet improved my absorption of everything I needed for strong bones. You may have a different cause, but improvement is possible! So sorry to hear of all your trouble.

I have gotten some relief from compression socks. I wear them during the day and my symptoms have almost disappeared. I take the socks off at night and there seems to be a residual effect that carries over into the night. Have helped a lot as I have been taking ropinirole for most of 20 years but it is starting to lose its effectiveness (augmentation?) with RLS symptoms occurring during the day and some at night. The socks have provided much needed relief.
