Secondary and New Cancer
Oncologist needs to do a biopsy down the gut to determine treatment plan after my husband gets his redult from tomorrow’s
bronchoscopy
down the gut. Unfortunately these symptoms are likely to be secondary cancer from his initial oesophagus cancer.

Scan Results and Treatment Begins
She referred me to a pulmonologist who recommended an EBUS
bronchoscopy
. I had this procedure done on November 15th. It found metastatic prostate cancer in the subcarinal lymph node and no evidence of a second cancer.

Bronchoscopy
Update from last post! I had it done tonight and it wasn’t awful, I went with no sedation. But my consultant said I had typical red looking asthma lungs and in particular got a lot of inflammation in my trachea, which he wants to check for silent reflux or suspect might be post nasal drip getting in

Bronchoscopy
Finally got my date for my
bronchoscopy
to see what’s going on. To see why I’m so having much trouble despite high dose treatment and negative spiro/ feno etc.

Organising pneumonia - how soon do the steroids kick in?
I’ve had 2 x CT scans which showed a progression in the inflammation and a
bronchoscopy
and blood tests which tested for any signs of infection or autoimmune conditions.

Atypical Micobacterial Infection
The above has shown up on culture plates taken when I had a
bronchoscopy
. Apparently it is of the TB family but not infectious.I am waiting to hear if anything else appears b4 my consultant prescribes the plethora of antibiotics, which I will take for a year or two.

Active Tb
Following this, I was asked to take a chest CT scan which had evidence of pulmonary infiltrations and then
bronchoscopy
to take biopsy and sample for culture. Then I was referred to the Tb clinic.

Now What????
Bronchoscopy
that night and removal of the tumor. Not in any lymph nodes which my understanding was a gift from GOD. The other gift was a diagnoses of 1C stage and possible rounds of chemo to catch any "missed cells". Monday meet with oncologist to see if chemo is recommended.

Feeling tired
Well hi everyone, just a wee update on my
bronchoscopy
18th march, apparently consultant could not get near the tumor to get a biopsy so they washed the lungs with salt water sucked out the flush and sent it away for testing, the whole experience wasnt too bad, still bit of sore throat and windpipe

My First Bronchoscopy
The Dr asked me to get a
bronchoscopy
done and it was my first time. After the
bronchoscopy
, I was so relieved. I could breathe better and it changed my life.

Advice needed re cultures
I have provided countless samples myself and via a
bronchoscopy
(and the
bronchoscopy
stirred things up so much I was admitted the very same day with a chest infection in December). But I heard yesterday that still nothing has grown from any of my samples.

The rollercoaster that is ICU has taken major downturn
During the night they had to do a
bronchoscopy
to clear a lot of secretions in his lungs. They don’t know if it’s new secretions or clearing of secretions from deep in his lungs.

Hi, a recent CT scan and
bronchoscopy
showed some sputum plugging in the right middle lobe. It's called "right middle lobe syndrome" according to the bronchiestasis consultant and apparently is commonly seen in people with bronchiestasis.

The most PATRONISING doctor EVER!
And I know endo won't always show on a
bronchoscopy
. He then kept blaming my cough on the cycling, even though I told him I took a whole year off cycling and training and the symptoms kept happening.
