Advice after bronchoscopy please
Bronchoscopy
done yesterday and home last night. Have to await results from the sample they took. How long is this likely to take? I know TB takes a while to grow but what about bacteria? I’m clearing my throat a lot today and feeling mucusy. Coughed up a small blood clot.

Hypersensitivity -- any help would be appreciated (if you've been told you have this or suggestions for if I'm on the right path)!
I just completed a
Bronchoscopy
. The doctor told me that when the scope nudged some mucous in my lungs that there was a strong reaction that suggests hypersensitivity. Has anyone been told they have hypersensitivity such as this and if so, what did you do or take?

Mysterious breathing issues post thyroidectomy, maybe related to replacement therapy
I am going back for a
bronchoscopy
/chest ct scan. The theory I am working with rn is that it is a symptom of GERD/Acid reflux, as I do get regurgitation and other more classic acid reflux symptoms occasionally. I am being tested accordingly.

Mucus
I have never found bringing up mucus easy but this time have been threatened with a
bronchoscopy
if I can't give a sample. I don't think it will be a very good one though as a mixture of spit and mucus. Thank you!

Are Frequent Scans Safe.
In the past this doctor recommended I have a
bronchoscopy
because she was quite sure that the lymph node in my chest was malignant. She said because I was already diagnosed with mbc cancer she didn't know if the
bronchoscopy
was really necessary but she said we should do it to be sure.

ILD & scleroderma
Awaiting
Bronchoscopy
next week. Everything is suggesting inflammation rather than infection/fibrosis. Currently taking mycophenalate & prednisolone since Easter which I know is not a long time but in that time my symptoms have worsened. Now talking of cyclophosphamide treatment.

What Happens at the Severe/Difficult Asthma Clinic
•
Bronchoscopy
- this is where they put a camera down into your lungs to see what is going on. They can look for blockages with mucus, take biopsies (samples) of tissue and also look at your vocal cords.

Stem cell transplant anniversary
I was given powerful broad spectrum antibiotics before the correct diagnosis was made after a
bronchoscopy
. A particularly unpleasant procedure during which I felt as if I was drowning. I was discharged after 10 days. A week or so later I started vomiting and had diarrhoea.

A wild ride
Immediately after the
bronchoscopy
I began to feel better. The pulmonologist saved my life. This disease is deadly if not controlled. So far I’m feeling much better. My nephrologist has been reducing my steroids. Weakness is subsiding.

Mucus in back of throat
Have anyone had a
bronchoscopy
done that resulted in a ball in the back of throat hanging from the roof of mouth. I was told it was mucus and to drink plenty of liquids and use muccinex the two would dissolve it. I have to hold my head to the side to avoid it from cutting off my airways.

The less than sweet cavity
They have reconsidered a
bronchoscopy
as she is concerned that the bacteria will be flushed throughout lung and cause sepsis, she feels due to my weak state my body wouldn’t cope well. The next step is that they want to consult Professor Loebinger at Brompton and be guided by him.

Hybrid Lobectomy
I have now had all of the investigations completed, including PET scan,
Bronchoscopy
, Biopsy and EBUS. The PET scan showed increasing growth with the mass measuring just over 5cms and high activity with lymph nodes involvement.
