Long story short on Wednesday the 19th they did a
bronchoscopy
in order to do a biopsy on my lung tissue. On Thursday I came home.

28 years old - recent Bronchiectasis diagnosis
Diagnosed originally with severe asthma, recurrent infections following a
bronchoscopy
and sputum samples. I am quite shocked about my diagnosis given that this is something which is not treatable.

am I doing the right thing?
I have suspected lung cancer and am waiting for result of EBUS
bronchoscopy
. I’ve been monitored with CT Scans for the past 18 months. There are 2 suspect nodules that have recently grown. I was supposed to have my right upper lung lobe removed early December.

3 years trouble breathing, still no diagnosis, always depressed
I asked for a
Bronchoscopy
or a Lavage, he said he would not do it as according to him which he bases off all these tests, there is nothing indicating that there is mucus or anything in my airways.

Wait time for surgical lung biopsy results
I had a
bronchoscopy
done in October which showed I had a high leukocyte count but not much else. My doctors are all very stumped, I’m in my early 30’s and have never smoked, and apart from a little bit of a cough and some occasional breathlessness, I don’t have any symptoms.

Currently (still) waiting to see my new respiratory team for long-standing lung issues that aren’t asthma, having had a number of tests (but not
bronchoscopy

Hello, I'm new on here
Up to now he has had a PET CT and
bronchoscopy
/EBUS,which was 11 days ago. How long does it normally take for a patient normally to receive an appt with the Oncologist. I know they have to have an MDT meeting first.i m just so worried about him.

Autoimmune lung disease?
My oxygen saturation is fine, my breath tests normal, but now they want to do a
bronchoscopy
, which does not sound like fun. If anyone here has had one, please could you let me know how it went and any tips or tricks?

Patient experience of Bronchoscopy
We are being asked to submit on behalf of patients on a potential new drug for
Bronchoscopy
. We therefore need to hear about patients experiences of
Bronchoscopy
, good or bad. How comfortable were you during the procedure? how quickly did you recover, were you uncomfortable for some time after?

My ex wife father can't get a biopsy nececery to get Keytruda as oxygen levels 87%.
The doctors can't perform
bronchoscopy
and can't get a biopsy nececery to get Keytruda. He is heavily sedated and probably comfortable. My ex wife is in Switzerland in Zürich and I am in Sydney so we can't help him. My ex wife tryed to communicate with the Croatian doctors in Zagreb but it failed.

Bronchospasm v inflammation
Hi everyone I had a
bronchoscopy
a few weeks ago and got the results letter on Friday. The consultant basically said everything was normal (I have severe asthma) and couldn't see any inflammation but did see bronchospasm in the bottom of the right lung and has suggested Spiriva.

Anyone had the anti viral treatment?
I tested positive on a hospital (pre
bronchoscopy
admission) covid test. I rang GP to see if I still needed to do the covid test (which was mailed to me last year) in order to get the anti viral treatment. GP asked me why I was on that list.

Dad’s diagnosis
He is having a
bronchoscopy
tomorrow to biopsy the lymph nodes and hopefully in 10 days time will come up with a treatment plan. It was a comfort to know that this was an option. My Dad is so strong right now, and we are doing everything we can to rally around him.

Having a Bronchoscopy
I am due to have a
Bronchoscopy
next week and am feeling quite anxious. Not sure whether I will be having some sedation (I haven’t had any kind of sedation in the past). Also what side affects after the procedure. I am quite new to this forum and not posted before.
