Autoimmune lung disease?
My oxygen saturation is fine, my breath tests normal, but now they want to do a
bronchoscopy
, which does not sound like fun. If anyone here has had one, please could you let me know how it went and any tips or tricks?

Patient experience of Bronchoscopy
We are being asked to submit on behalf of patients on a potential new drug for
Bronchoscopy
. We therefore need to hear about patients experiences of
Bronchoscopy
, good or bad. How comfortable were you during the procedure? how quickly did you recover, were you uncomfortable for some time after?

My ex wife father can't get a biopsy nececery to get Keytruda as oxygen levels 87%.
The doctors can't perform
bronchoscopy
and can't get a biopsy nececery to get Keytruda. He is heavily sedated and probably comfortable. My ex wife is in Switzerland in Zürich and I am in Sydney so we can't help him. My ex wife tryed to communicate with the Croatian doctors in Zagreb but it failed.

Bronchospasm v inflammation
Hi everyone I had a
bronchoscopy
a few weeks ago and got the results letter on Friday. The consultant basically said everything was normal (I have severe asthma) and couldn't see any inflammation but did see bronchospasm in the bottom of the right lung and has suggested Spiriva.

Anyone had the anti viral treatment?
I tested positive on a hospital (pre
bronchoscopy
admission) covid test. I rang GP to see if I still needed to do the covid test (which was mailed to me last year) in order to get the anti viral treatment. GP asked me why I was on that list.

Dad’s diagnosis
He is having a
bronchoscopy
tomorrow to biopsy the lymph nodes and hopefully in 10 days time will come up with a treatment plan. It was a comfort to know that this was an option. My Dad is so strong right now, and we are doing everything we can to rally around him.

Having a Bronchoscopy
I am due to have a
Bronchoscopy
next week and am feeling quite anxious. Not sure whether I will be having some sedation (I haven’t had any kind of sedation in the past). Also what side affects after the procedure. I am quite new to this forum and not posted before.

Secondary and New Cancer
Oncologist needs to do a biopsy down the gut to determine treatment plan after my husband gets his redult from tomorrow’s
bronchoscopy
down the gut. Unfortunately these symptoms are likely to be secondary cancer from his initial oesophagus cancer.

Scan Results and Treatment Begins
She referred me to a pulmonologist who recommended an EBUS
bronchoscopy
. I had this procedure done on November 15th. It found metastatic prostate cancer in the subcarinal lymph node and no evidence of a second cancer.

Bronchoscopy
Update from last post! I had it done tonight and it wasn’t awful, I went with no sedation. But my consultant said I had typical red looking asthma lungs and in particular got a lot of inflammation in my trachea, which he wants to check for silent reflux or suspect might be post nasal drip getting in

Finally got my date for my
bronchoscopy
to see what’s going on. To see why I’m so having much trouble despite high dose treatment and negative spiro/ feno etc.

Organising pneumonia - how soon do the steroids kick in?
I’ve had 2 x CT scans which showed a progression in the inflammation and a
bronchoscopy
and blood tests which tested for any signs of infection or autoimmune conditions.
