Tongue biopsy, Liver Scan, Bronchoscopy tests in 2 week period. Pain is more than I can bear.
I had a tongue biopsy on Friday last week. The pain afterwards has been excruciating. I cannot eat, drink, swallow and even talk clearly. I am also having a liver ultrasound next Saturday. Turns out my tongue biopsy area is infected and it may be a while before I can pick up my life again.

Very weird bronchiectasis at a young age
He performed
bronchoscopy
, washed my lungs. It turned out my case was very mild and, in his opinion, usually mild cylindrical bronchiectasis does not spread. I manage to stop using any medicine and for some time my health was just perfect.

diagnosis advice: does it sounds like asthma?
he was not sure about the asthma stuff so he redirect me to a pulmo that, obviously, order a spirometry (turns out perfect), another methacholine challenge (negative again), allergy tests (also negative) and, drum roll, a
bronchoscopy
... eveything was fine again but no, the pulmo decides to put me on

EXCESSIVE DYNAMIC AIRWAY COLLAPSE
I had a
bronchoscopy
last December, to be told that I had EDAC (excessive dynamic airway collapse). I have had no follow up meetings with the Thoracic doctor, as he said there was nothing to do. I was just told to keep my weight down, and look it up on the internet.

Living with PCD
By 6th grade I had my first
Bronchoscopy
and was later that month diagnosed with SCD. I later went on to have 3 bronchoscopy's, 2 sinus surgeries, a tonsillectomy, and adenoid removal. My freshman year of high school I had the smallest wheeze in my lungs, which was not uncommon for me.

Road to a BMT... oops just got there (Day+20)
Mark had been dealing with an infection and antibiotics were helping but the fever kept coming back - he went through an invasive test called a
bronchoscopy
to get a sample from his lungs so we could culture and know EXACTLY what this infection is.

Warmer days ahead
Thursday is the day I go for the
bronchoscopy
and thank God it will be sunny and actually warm here in Vancouver. A reprieve from all the rain we have had this past week. I may save myself $20 and take a bus over... then again at 7 am? No I will pay the price most likely. A wee sleep in!

Not sure if I have asthma or not?
He subsequently referred me for a CT scan and carried out a
bronchoscopy
which, I understand, made it clear that my airways were inflamed. I was prescribed oral steroids which I found to be immensely helpful. I was also prescribed inhaled steroids which I have used ever since.

I saw the ID doctor on 10/4
Because the results of the
bronchoscopy
, however, tested positive for aspergillus, he has warned me that they will likely want another
bronchoscopy
done. Ugh. They can't give me any anesthesia and there seemed to be little to no sedation either, due to respiration concerns.

Peculiar Phlegm
I had a
bronchoscopy
in August which found no abnormality and had negative wash results. However my blood tests showed very high Aspergillus markers. Is this type of phlegm familiar to other ABPA or CPA sufferers?

Have to go in for
bronchoscopy
. It's my 3rd. One in 10 years. She worries about developing an infection and not being able to treat it due to all the anti-biotics they've perscribed over a 3 month period. Anyways...it is what it is. I have so much to be thankful for.

Scope with or without sedation ?
I’ve had a
bronchoscopy
before so I get a rough idea of what’s going to happen. I had sedation for this but I had a relatively good experience and was thinking for these other two scope if it’s worth doing it without sedation? I’m not overly anxious about it more so the results.

Anyone had a bronchoscopy?
Hello all My consultant is considering a
bronchoscopy
as apparently I have gunk in the bottom of my lungs but my sputum samples come back clear so he want to go in and get a sample directly. Anyone had one and are they as awful as they sound on Dr Google? Thanks

My diagnosis is PF From CHP
Will be having
bronchoscopy
on Thursday to see if they can identify allergens. Wondering do they treat the PF or the CHP?

Normal to have chest and back pain after a bronchoscopy?
Hello all I had a
bronchoscopy
done yesterday around 12 pm. And as the drugs wore off throughout the day I noticed more pain in my chest and back. And this morning as well. Is this normal? I fled the hospital. But they don't seem to have any answers. They paged my pulmonologist.

After bronchoscopy I've got extra symptoms
I just had a
bronchoscopy
yesterday to differentiate my aggressive stage 4 lung cancer which seems to have serious involvement above and below the diaphragm. In the last few hours my popliteal lymph node (near my knee) has become swollen and sore.
