Respiratory "Hot" Clinic Tomorrow!
After the two trips to A&E this weekend (see watchers of the night post), on the advice of A&E doctor, asthma UK helpline. The decision was made by GP I saw this late afternoon after reading my history (typed up on 2 hours sleep) to refer to above clinic. I am not looking forward to going of course

Asthma and colds
I think I may be getting a viral cold, everyone else had it and I tried not to get it but.. didn't work I guess. Anyway I have mild asthma and it's pretty well controlled. Is there a risk of my asthma getting really bad with this cold? Also is there anything I can do to prevent it? Thanks all

Seasonal asthma ?!
Does anyone have seasonal asthma at all ? I'm wondering if I maybe do. From June till October I had on/off symptoms of heavy chest , very unproductive cough, a whistle when I would cough and couldn't sleep because my chest felt heavy and felt like I just could not breath and when I would exercise it

I'm new here, just recovering from infection exacerbated asthma.
Hi everyone, whilst on holiday this week I was taken poorly with my asthma. I have had a heavy cold for about two weeks too. I managed to get an emergency appointment at the local GP surgery and was diagnosed with a chest infection which has exacerbated my asthma. I was prescribed one weeks worth

Chronic airway remodelling
I am 66 and have had asthma from the age of 3 and have always been on asthma sprays. I recently ( during a very stressful period) had really bad asthma ( it is usually pretty much under control) as a result I have had tests and now on Fostsir and an extra spray called Bretaris (aclidinium) which seems

Should I have the pneumonia jab?
I was diagnosed with asthma a couple of years ago. I have had recurrent chest infections every winter for about 6 years and I had to attend a & e last winter with an asthma attack. I have a lot of triggers in the winter which affects my breathing. I saw a specialist asthma nurse last year who suggested

Brittle Asthma and work
Good morning, I've read with interest Mary's account of her
brittle
asthma
and for me the story is so familiar. 3 weeks ago a neighbour started a huge bonfire - up till then I was absolutely fine no infections, colds etc and then the smoke got in my lungs and I have now been hospitalised twice within

Birth control/contraception options
Hi all, Wondering if anyone has any advice/experience on birth control options with asthma? (Badly behaved, annoying asthma, just for context. I'm fairly familiar with the inside of A&E). I have the Nexplanon implant and it's been ok but it's getting to the end and becoming annoying with the periods
