Is your asthma triggered on bonfire night?

Hi all,

We're looking for someone who has had an asthma attack or whose asthma symptoms get a lot worse on Bonfire night. If that's you, then drop me a line on the thread, PM or email me at aghosh@asthma.org.uk

Our advice for staying well on Bonfire night is here: bit.ly/2zjbhpd

Thanks,

Dita

Hi Dita - always! I think it's eased a little in one way, as fewer people have backyard bonfires, but the fact that people string it out & have bonfires anywhere between a week or so before & a week after doesn't help.

Unfortunately I live in the countryside and some people have regular bonfires and the smoke blows, even across the fields, and causes worsening of asthma. Plus this time of year there is the problem of wood burners with inadequate filters which again affects me badly.
