Asthma Flare Up and Hoarse/Sore Throat (Post Covid)
Hi everyone, I've just joined the forum. I was diagnosed with Asthma when I was a Child. I had to use inhalers throughout school but seemed to grow out of it in my late teens. I didn't need to use an inhaler in 15+ years. Around 18 months ago I caught Covid twice, my chest wasn't too bad while i was

Nebuliser & Saline recommendations guidance (Bronchiectasis)
Hi, can anyone recommend a nebuliser, ideally one that's reasonably portable. I've been waiting for one for over 2yrs now so I've given up and will have to buy one myself. I understand I can use 0.9% hypertonic solution without concern? I've literally no idea how to use one, in terms of what to put

NIV hose cleaning
I posted in May that my husband had been sent home from hospital with a NIV machine. He's getting on well with it & was using his nebuliser a lot less, well until the hot weather hit at the weekend! Unfortunately it's not helped his lack of sleep......best so far being less than 4 hours!Anyway, my

Had my first visit to the Hematologist . He was patient, he was kind , he was very informative and most important to me , he asked me what my questions and concerns were. Unlike a lot of doctors I worked with as a nurse , ( who MANY have seemed to have lost their Sensitivity chip ) , he was full

nebuliser recommendations?
I’m hoping to give nebulised saline a go and was wondering is there much difference in types of nebulisers? It would be for the low % saline as this hasn’t been prescribed by my consultant. Thought it may help to clear some much (chronic bronchitis) as I seem to be tied all the time lately- chest feel

ER visit after 13 days on Zanubrutinib (Diagnosed 13yrs 8mos b4 needing treatment)
I started Zanubrutinib April 24th, by 5th day noticed painful finger spasms, 7th day got large dark hematoma (brusing not new but larger size & darker color). Bloodwork showed Hgb 10.8-9.8; Plts 80s-118, WBC 80s-108. I noticed a decrease in the size & number of lymph nodes in my neck, arm pits & upper

Advice please 🌿🐞
Hello friends. 😊👋 I am wondering if anyone uses a
hand held portable
nebuliser. One with rechargable batteries if possible but any recommendations would be welcome. I have a friend in need of one and we are confused as looking on Amazon U.K. they mention asthma but not COPD under the sales

amazing hospital staff
About 3 weeks ago I was in the bathroom, I just got out of the shower, the next thing I know I’m across the room on the floor with my back against a metal radiator. The noise 😩 & the pain was excruciating. I ended up in hospital, I’d broken 6 ribs some more than once, fractured shoulder blade & a chipped

Hurts breathing in on left side/lung...
Hi, I'm wondering if anyone might have experienced this or some thoughts. Sorry this is so long a post. This morning I woke up and my left lung/back/shoulder hurt, much more so with breathing in. I thought it might be I'd slept oddly and/or my arthritis as other parts of me ached and back and spine

Glutathione Nebulization?
Has anyone experimented with glutathione nebulization? I’ve read that Laurie Mischley is doing it with clients. I tried it tonight using 100 MG of GSH powder dissolved in 1 tbs saline in my home nebulizer. I’m not sure about the dose or what kind of GSH to use. Or even if it’s a good idea? Looking at

Rituximab Reaction
Hey guys, on Thursday I went for my first (1of2) Rituximab infusions...although I've had two rounds before. I have it for my IgG4 disease which has affected my pancreas. Anyway, it didn't go quite to plan. 😪 I had the pre-meds and was then started on the Ritux at a slow rate. All was fine. Then

NEBULISER
Is it worth considering a nebuliser? Meds not really working well and it’s been suggested (by a friend) that I use a nebuliser. Do they help and how do they work please? Any posts are going to be very much appreciated.
