Glutathione Nebulization?

Has anyone experimented with glutathione nebulization? I’ve read that Laurie Mischley is doing it with clients. I tried it tonight using 100 MG of GSH powder dissolved in 1 tbs saline in my home nebulizer. I’m not sure about the dose or what kind of GSH to use. Or even if it’s a good idea? Looking at the literature, there are studies using it for pulmonary conditions as an anti-inflammatory agent. Other than Dr. Mischley I don’t know of anyone using it for PD. But if it’s an anti-inflammatory and an antioxidant, it might be a good thing. Any leads would be helpful. Thanks. - JG

AIUI, glutathione is the body's main antioxidant. The body keeps a thin layer of glutathione in the respiratory tract to protect the bronchi and lungs from oxidant insult.

I've studied the medical uses of ozone. Ozone is a bluish gas. A 50 mile deep layer of ozone is why the sky is blue. Ozone as an oxidant can kill. Progressive exposure to ozone stimulates the body to up-regulate more glutathione to protect itself from oxidant stress and damage.

Ozone was developed in the 1800's. It was used to sterilize medical instruments long before bacteria was discovered as an agent of infection and disease. In the 1930's penicillin was discovered and eventually ozone fell out of favor in the medical world.

These days it's had a recurrence as ozone can treat and cure infections that are resistant to all known antibiotics. The most dangerous microbes have protective shell. Ozone instantly breaks the shell, like popping a soap bubble, allowing the body's other defenses to attack the infection. Most antibiotics don't kill bacteria. Instead they stop the growth of bacterial walls making them weaker and less able to fight innate defenses like glutathione. Ozone by up-regulating glutathione protects everything.

There are many who think PD is a disease that can be treated with drugs. If dopamine deficiency is the root problem then anything that improves dopamine production should help. Hence the articles like this, "Potential use of glutathione as a treatment for Parkinsons..."

I tried it and it did not do anything for me. If you do decide to give it a try, use a product intended for inhalation with sterile water or saline.

Good points. Last night I happened to be nebulizing due to a head cold I’m recovering from. So I cracked a capsule of GHS and dissolved it in the saline. My congestion actually got worse, until I reached for the NyQuil. I’m having my doubts about maintaining the standards of hygiene necessary for daily nebulization. For now I’ll stick with the ol’ Nettie Pot.

John,

Have you made a decision re SYMBYX yet?

Right now I’m trying to get some use out of the Wellred helmet I bought a couple years ago. Looking at Symbyx. Interestingly, their focus seems to be on the Microbiome. I too am addressing this factor, through Acupuncture & Visbiome probiotics. Check out this “how to use” video from the Symbyx website. 8 of the 9 points are abdominal: youtu.be/KDqUj9hXTe0

I’m also considering Symbyx. I sent some questions that they have yet to answer.

why Visbiome? I had understood that people with PD have an excess of bífido and lacto strains. I need to recheck my Biome FX report…
