Incorrect Hospital Records
Hi, I’ve been having some problems with the respiratory team and requested a copy of my hospital records, which I’ve received. After going through them, there’s lots of information missing and details which are incorrect. I’m a severe asthmatic, and the consultant has now noted “no definitive diagnosis

I know how you feel honeysuckle. I have been doing this on nebuliser for about 5 months now. Sputum is definitely lighter in colour. Sometimes I can cough up but when it’s dry it’s so hard and no satisfaction in doing it I am waiting to see my consultant in December so I can ask him about it so at

Nebulisers
I have been struggling all week with the humidity. Then last night had a severe red attack, and then had a series of nasty red attacks on and off all day. I had used 20 salamol and 8 fostair doses, my daily limit. In our area we are not allowed our own nebulisers, so as told to I rang 111 and asked

Mouth thrush
Does anyone else suffer from thrush in the mouth, due to taking antibiotics. I think l may have it as my tongue is coated in white and l have lost a lot of my sense of taste. I have just started taking colomycin in Nebuliser for pseudomonas infection.

BRONCHIECTASIS….PLUS Allergic to medical face mask…any non polypropylene/TPE ones available?
Hi I’m having a nightmare with my bronchiectasis, I’ve had numerous exacerbations this year, use my rescue pack and prednisone when needed…cant remember being well in all honesty. I had HIB in April and given Levofloxacin as Doxycycline won’t shift my HIB. Think I had HIB in 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2023

Tezepelumab/Spirometry with Reversibility
Hi, hope everyone is managing well. I’m just looking to hear others experiences if possible. I’m quite complex and don’t show a high FeNO and spirometry is normal and my asthma is driven by neutrophils for inflammation. Best peak flow is 440, hovering around 220-350 - 220 is pre meds in the morning

Inhaling distilled water via nebuliser, question
I wanted to ask the following - I attempted to use cool steam inhalation via a handheld nebuliser today to see if it would help my sinuses/polyps. I only used distilled water (stored at room temperature) however as soon as I started to use it the mist caused me to cough for some reason it seemed to

inhalers reduced
Has anyone else had their inhalers reduced , my husband has had 4 a month for over 20 years , Gp has reduced it to one a month . he has a nebuliser he uses 4 times a day . He’s really struggling, but they won’t give him any more , he’s on end of life care , and so worried that they don’t care by withholding

How long can a asthma episode last?
My daughter has had asthma symptoms for 14 days. Needing inhaler every 4 hours. She had 10 days of steroids and 10 days of antibiotics for a chest infection. As you can imagine she is shacking. We have been to the doctors twice, oxygen level been good at 97. I mentioned if they just gave her a NEB the

Morning all Today I was allowed to speak and listen to a Dr for longer than the usual 30 sec’s because they r so busy. He explained that yes they r happy with how I’m improving but its mainly down to what they r doing now and does not make it any easier with regards to the procedure they will go down
