DBS
Anyone that has had DBS, would you please share your experience? I’m highly considering starting the approval process. I’m 45, dx in 2008, and have exhausted medication options. I’ve tried diet, exercise, HDT.

Cranioplasty 2 weeks post op
Hi I’ve had Cranioplasty 2 weeks ago to repair my skull after have undergone multiple surgeries last year to remove grade 2 oligodendroglioma last July . (Benign). It got infected and in turn my bone had to be removed so I had to wait 6-8 months to make sure there was no infection. It wasn’t sore up

I had DBS surgery 4.5 years ago. I have been alerted to the fact that my battery needs changing out by my DBS monitor, and I am having the minimal surgery on 4/24. I was diagnosed almost 20 years ago (I am now 70) and have stayed fairly functional. Until now. For the last couple of months, my symptoms

Have I Always Felt This Way?
For the first time in my life, I'm really TRYING to deal with my anxiety. I've always just endured it before and hoped it would go away. That means paying more attention to it, which I feel like has made my physical symptoms much, much worse in the short term. My head feels weird EVERY SINGLE DAY. Sometimes

HDT and dyskinesia
A friend of mine and a PWP has severe dyskinesia and I was wondering if the high dose thiamine protocol would help her? I understand that HDT is meant to prevent developing dyskinesia but I'm not sure if it helps decrease the movements once you have it. She was considering deep brain stimulation but

Freaked out! Please respond!
Hello everyone, Recently I’ve been having trouble with health anxiety and my main issue always goes back to “oh no what if I have a brain tumor”. I’ve been to the doctor like 4 times and none of them thought it was a brain tumor and they attributed it all to anxiety and sinus issues I’ve been having

Hard to Accept Dizziness Is Due to Anxiety
Hello all! My big problem lately has been this weird feeling in my head. It's kind of like a dizziness/unsteadiness but it's more accurate to say it just feels weird, heavy, or wobbly. Like, I'm not about to pass out, but it feels strange. It gets worse at times, most notably when I focus on it in the

Still no treatment (UK)
Hi Everyone In my last post I thought my partner was about to start treatment, but after a 10 minute consultation at Kings he was told he seems to be managing without ( despite meeting the criteria for treatment) and the next appointment was put out 5 months. Since then his blood results have arrived

The journey to recovery (viral meningitis)
Hello and this is my story....I’m about 2 months post viral meningitis and this has been a slow journey to recovery. I had the same experience as most of you, several trips the the ER and my primary care provider and no relief or diagnosis. The only symptom I had that really stood out was the headache

Does anyone know of a good doctor here in the United States that is familiar with meningitis?
I live in the United States of America and so far the doctors i have been to are baffled and their idea of testing for meningitis is by touching your chin to your chest and asking if it hurts if it doesn't hurt than they automatically rule out the possibility of meningitis without actually doing a screening
