Cranioplasty with titanium mesh

Hi how are you every one i am going to operate cranioplasty with titanium mesh with in 2 weeks (Ali medical hospital ) i am very afraid about infection and its my 2nd time cranioplasty after 3 years 1st time i used acrylic implant but i had suffered infection and plate was removed that time please tell me for how long patient will remain healthy without any infection after titanium mesh surgery.

No one can predict an outcome of any procedure as there are so many variables. However, titanium is the material of choice for many surgeons...……….. both for cosmetic appearance and because infection rates are statistically lower than in bone or acrylic cranioplasties.

For this reason it's frequently used to replace plates made from other materials where infection has resulted. Good luck ; let us know how you get on. Cat x

I know some girl on another site had it done and she said " I need cheering up as I am scared" she was from USA. So we sang songs to each other and wrote silly posts. She must be well as she comes on hardly at all now. So she was fine last time we spoke guess she got fed up with my Music lol xxx
