medication timing???
I am now almost 4 weeks free of Pramipexole 😀 I feel like I am over the worst ( back from hell) but I’m now religiously waking at 11pm then again at 12pm (and sometimes at 1am) with RLS. I have a 10 minute walk around the house and this does ease my pain. I am slowly increasing my Gabapentin dose and

What is an ICM?
An Insertable Cardiac Monitor (ICM) is a small thin device that is inserted under the skin on your breastbone to record the activity of your heart. It can remain in place for up to 3 years. The device will capture and record 'episodes'. The recorded data will be collated and assessed and help to diagnose

Conundrum Gastrin
Hi everyone, does anyone have advice when trying to increase weight when diagnosed with Intestinal Metaplasia and Hyperplasia. I have been doing some research regarding the damage that Gastrin can do when it doesn't switch off (NET's tumours) because of low stomach acid and as the Gastrin is activated

Could I get some input on these blood lines/streaks in my stool?
A few months ago I started noticing little mucus boogers on the outside of my stool as well as bright red drops of blood on my tissue after wiping constantly after either having diarrhea or the day after eating super spicy food. My doctor believed that it is internal hemorrhoids because of how it occurs

Acute stress reaction
Hi, My sibling was recently diagnosed with colon cancer. Adding to that I have to have a colonoscopy to be screened but am now having symptoms myself. I go this week for it but am struggling with anxiety right now. I can’t stop thinking about all the worst case scenarios and worrying about my sibling

colon cancer
I have had irregular bowel movements for as long as I can remember. Recently I noticed blood streaks in my stool. I’m scheduled for a colonoscopy this week but my anxiety is through the roof. My sibling was recently diagnosed with colon cancer and now I’m scared that I may have it as well. Any advice

colon cancer/scalp cancer link?
I read via google that colon cancer sometimes spreads to the scalp. Has anyone heard of or can confirm this? Reason I ask, I am awaiting scheduling for my colonoscopy (I'm in the USA, minimum 4-6 weeks wait to book an appointment). I am also having sores on my scalp and a potential enlarged lymph

Abaris
Hello everyone, I'm still on the quest for wellness. I was wondering if anyone had tried Abaris which is a TRH . Quite new on the market I think. I'm piling the weight on as I can't treat my thyroid without reacting to the meds. I was looking further upstream at TRH. I live in the UK so probably wouldn't

Fenofibrates
Someone asked if Dr. Jones' book mentioned the use of fenofibrates.... yes, it does in several places. This might be a good book to have if you are considering using them. He is the leading expert on PBC. Hope it helps... The subject is discussed in the chapter for 'Treatment of PBC'. Many have been

update ct colonoscopy
hi, just had ct virtual colonoscopy done. I was unable to complete colonoscopy recently and my doc referred me to abdo surgeon, he put me in for ct colon scan. Although the prep is just as bad as colonoscopy prep, the actual procedure went well, was able to complete scan. Don’t know the results yet but

Blood on toilet paper
hey everyone, So for a while I have been seeing blood on my toilet paper. It doesn’t happen all the time, but it does happen frequent enough that I’m a bit concerned. It usually takes for me to wipe twice to actually see the blood. It’s not much and it is bright red. For what I can tell I don’t think

COLONOSCOPY
Gooday, I have been short listed for a colonoscopy to exclude bowel cancer. The first step is to speak with the surgical consultant. I believe a local anesthetic may be administered. Currently I am on a low dose of Ibrutinib. What are other peoples experience regarding the stopping and starting

Quite a good bit of deep red blood in stool **graphic photo of just blood**(stool is blotted out of picture)
This happened yesterday morning. It also has happened a few times before. It's not continuous but rather comes and goes. It could be months before it happens again. I might add that I'm a diabetic with uncontrolled diabetes currently. I have pcos as well. I'm on anxiety meds along with insulin.

Should we worry?
mum is on large doses of lactulose and diuretics and has been feeling very unwell all day. She hasn’t been able to open her Bowles at all, and seems very confused. is this an A&E job?
