Meal plan for up-coming week - any advice welcome
OK, this is my huge achievement today. I planned all the meals in up-coming week. As it is my first proper meal planning not only lunches), any advice or comment more than welcome. Note: my main meal is lunch. One thing about my breakfast: it is porridge oats microwaved with water, flaxseed, and frozen

Blood sugar reading in different hospitals and labs
Why almost all the hospitals have different criteria for confirming blood sugar level. Some above 100 in fasting and some above 140 after eating. Almost all the tests shows I'm in prediabetes or diabetes range. Some are under diabetes. I really don't know whom to trust. My last random sugar level today

Park run and low carb diet
So I went to do my 5th parkrun yesterday, full of hope for a good experience and perhaps a pb, but I found it a real struggle and jogged my slowest time yet (34 minutes) even having to stop and walk a few times. Trying to analyse this after, and I think there may have been two potential factors. I've

Gluten helps protect people from type 2 diabetes
I found this today. From what I understand there is supposed to be a link between a gluten free diet and type 2 diabetes. Something to do with food products manufactured for coeliacs being so highly processed that they don't contain the vital ingredients needed to prevent type 2 diabetes. Is this true

Anyone ever had their Essential Fatty Acids Tested?
Hi, this is a little off-topic but I suspect this might be a gluten-related issue so I thought this would be the best forum to ask in. Has anyone ever had an EFA deficiency, or been tested for one? I recently came across EFA deficiency and discovered that the list of symptoms was so like my current problems

Second autoimmune diease?
Hi I was feeling OK recently then had an awful infection of cellulitis at the top of my leg. It's taking ages to go away and am on my third round of antibiotics. This flagged up my borderline glucose results and now I'm being tested for type 2 diabetes. I had worried as there was a recent study linking

Water Cure
I am starting the water cure that was developed by Dr. F. Batmanghelidj, who said: "You're not sick; you're thirsty. Don't treat thirst with medication." Water cure involves drinking half your weight in ounces (so f.e., if you weight 120, you would drink around 60 oz./day), and taking unprocessed sea
