Does anyone have experience of deep brain stimulation used for SUNCT?
He has had
Botox
2 weeks ago but again this does not appear to have worked. Dr Matharu has just been to see him to say that they are running out of things to try but has mentioned DBS, do you have any experience of this?

I'm taking 70mg nortriptyline daily and sumatriptan when I have an attack, but the sumatriptan has started to not work after a few hours.
I've had 2 lots of
Botox
which made very little difference, and tried a variety of drugs, this was the only one that worked. Have also tried aromatherapy massage, and accupuncture.

At a loss as to how to support and protect my parents without hurting them
My dad was diagnosed last Autumn and his main symptoms to date are significant personality changes, slurred speech, regular choking and frequent eyelid closing which is currently treated via
Botox
injections. Any help would be really appreciated. Thank-you x

Panic attack, anxiety, heavy breathing from botox?
Hi I had my second round of
botox
last week for chronic Migraine, and I have noticed on a few occasions when I'm out in public that I start to panic, feel claustrophobic and start breathing really heavily. Sometimes I feel like I'm not getting enough air or that I'm going to stop breathing.

Choosing a private doctor from the list
Dr Lynette Yong looked perfect as an anti ageing doctor as i'm only 39, but I see from an Internet profile that she advertises more as a cosmetic surgeon/
Botox
etc. There is only a small paragraph about hormones. Thanks very much :)

Hi, does anyone suffer from head nodding. Mine happens several times a day, when I get up or move. It started 2 months ago. My neurologist
Botox
. in. the neck might help. Any one had this? Also. It has been suggested that I use an Oswestry standing. Frame a I can' walk any more , use a wheelchair all the time. The physio thinks this might help me to walk a bIt once I can stand. Stood in it for 15 mins and felt almost human again

I think it was by Allergan who produce
botox
. Was driving at the time and trying to avoid getting caught in a bus lane so I didn't get a good look, but wondered if anyone else has seen them around the UK?

Hi there, having Botox injections for a year, tried all kinds of meds. Migraines triggered by weather fluctuations-pain generates from neck
When the weather changes I wake up in the middle of the night with pain at the bottom of my skull, top of the neck, it swells and I have a migraine. I cannot lie down any longer. For example, yesterday I woke at 2:20am and had to sit with ice packs until I had to go to work, the pain was not manageable

Short pelvic floor syndrome and Botox treatment available on NHS
I now have
Botox
to my pelvic floor every 6 months. This reduces the spasm and allows my bladder to function more normally. I practice and teach Pilates to help with my EDS and strengthen my core and postural muscles to help my SIJ issues. I take nortyptiline if I have a particularly strong spasm.

Pain's revenge
I was resigned to having more
botox
, in fact I was just keen for them to get on with it in the end. I'm not bothered about injections these days, it doesn't even hurt that much.
